Are you sure that you have the rights to sell this on the app store? I read up a little on this and it seems like it will be a repeat of the Lugaru Mac app store incident.
No, I don't have the rights to sell this app. The code is GPL, so anyone could re-compile. Bungie released the levels for free, with the explicit stipulation that people can not charge for them. So the app is going to be free. There may be some in-app purchases to enhance the game play... Stay tuned.
The beta testers are doing their job very well. Cleaned up a bunch of little things, and more great suggestions. I still have a few details to wrap up, and am hoping to submit to Apple in the next few weeks.
Since the format of the official website is really confusing, I would like a control scheme where it turns automatically, plus it's a bit difficult, especially in the heat of battle.
Also, I've noticed a glitch when holding the smaller fire button. I held it for about 5 or so seconds, then I let the button go and the charachter started to shoot and punch automatically. Was this intended or was it a glitch?
Sorry... I forgot I asked about an update a while ago. That's great! Can't wait for the possible iphone/itouch version! Also cause iDos refuses to run any of the games
Squashed a bunch of bugs, and cleaned up the interface. Hoping to submit the app for approval in the next two weeks!
Can't wait! Durandal was one of the first games I ever played on my PC, and I am really looking forward to being able to play it on my iPad...
BUNGIE PUT THIS PROJECT ON THE FRONT PAGE! Well, they interviewed you, so I guess you would know, but still!
I'd love it if you could "port" rubicon (which in this case is probably a matter of merely dropping in the data files, since you're working from aleph one. That and the non-trivial matter of testing). For those not in the know, Marathon:Rubicon is a TC for marathon that's got rather higher production values than the original games, and also has maybe 3x the content in terms of level count and such. Much of the community considers it an unofficial 4th title in the series. http://www.marathonrubicon.com/ I'm pretty sure chris lund/etc would be amenable to it.
