New Features: - Local Notifications: Alarm Tunes will now automatically schedule a backup notification to alert you even if the app is not running in the foreground. - Multi-tasking: Multi-task back and forth between the OS and Alarm Tunes seamlessly - Graphical enhancements for iPhone 4 (Retina Display) - Other: Next alarm time now displayed in upper left corner, and bug fixes We hope you like the latest update to Alarm Tunes! It has been an exciting week for us with Alarm Tunes for iOS 4 going live as well as our brand new version of Alarm Tunes for the iPad "Alarm Tunes HD" debuting also. Bugs Still pretty buggy. Alarm will go off with app closed and screen locked. However, when you input the time you want the alarm to go off it sets the alarm for a different time (some reviews say by up to 3 hours). I found it to be one hour off consistently. So if I want my alarm to go off at 7:30 I have to set it for 8:30. Also, the ipod song never sounds on mine when selected, the default alarm goes off instead. Hopefully they get these bugs fixed.
Hi Chris, We realized this shortly after the update was released with the help of a customer in New Zealand. Had to do with a change in iOS 4 where the time wheel was no longer assuming the user's local time zone. We were able to fix this immediately and the update is now available for you to download. Version 3.1. http://itunes.com/apps/alarmtunes Thanks for the feedback and hope you enjoy the update and all of the new iOS 4 features.
I wouldn't mind a nice alarm app for iOS 4, but a few questions: - Does the full alarm go off if it's running in the background, or does it rely on local notifications? - How does snooze work, both if the app is running, backgrounded, or completely closed? - How many different alarms can you create?
Okay, I went ahead and bought it anyway, but I seem to be having trouble with it. - When the alarm goes off while the app is open but in sleep mode, even if I've chosen music to play, the default alarm beep plays once before the music starts, which is rather jarring. - If I exit the app, even if it's still listed in the tasks, and go into sleep mode, the alarm won't always go off. - If it does go off when I exit the app and put the phone into sleep mode, it won't play music, just the default alarm beep. - I can't figure out how to get it to slowly raise volume when the alarm goes off. - My iPod settings will be changed based on whether I choose to play once, repeat once, repeat all, etc. When I go into my iPod app, whatever settings I chose in Alarm Tunes will now be in the iPod app, so I have to reset them. Any help here?
Still not working properly after update 3.1 on iOS4 iPhone 3GS I seem to be having the same issues as the other members. It's not playing music in the alarm function. However.. it does play music when I tap the play icon. Confusing... Really hope all bugs get fixed soon. I already deleted it from my iPhone, but after reading this forum I thought to gave it another shot because I really like the design and functionalities before the bugs. Keep up the good work!
Yeah, I'd like to be able to use this, but right now it's just as useless as the rest of the alarm clock apps, even on iOS 4, which was supposed to make this sort of thing workable.
