A question for the developers. Any news on a game update, and if so, what might be in it? No rush of course, I was just wondering what might be coming down the line.
Thank you for your continuous interesting of ATO. May i know your nickname pls? For more major updates will be that user can have an airport and the alliance function... Following updated version(1.5.2) is in review in iTunes now. So it would be released soon. # Enhancement # Fuel tank capacity doubled. # Route, Airport, Plane list scroll position, sorting save and restore. # Add cancel button for selling plane on the used market. # Music/Sound on/off status save. # In-app purchase process enhanced. # Bug fixed on # Plane detail list # Manage all route # Fuel full buy # Remove renovation button on leased plane # Office and counter usage when they change # Concorde route price when other company show # Language correction Thank you!
It would be nice if there was a way to buy more planes of a specific configuration directly from a plane's detail. Perhaps right under the plane diagram on the left side there is a button to order more where it takes you directly to the upgrade stage (plane type, seat pitch, and seating layout already inputted). It would save me a lot of time and would be much appreciated. EDIT: Also, the demand/revenue is way to drastic and way to cyclical. Every 3-4 months I can count on my revenue steadily dropping by 10-15% and then spiking by around 30%. My most recent month saw revenue increase from 500m to 830m, which is way too much, I'm sure next month it will drop by 150m.
Another great addition would to add the possibility of having seasonal routes. This would be very useful as some routes get large amounts of passengers only in specific times (Christmas and summer). Thanks!
I second this. On some routes I lose and gain 20%-30% occupancy month to month, and it doesn't seem at all related to the passenger demand index. Also, less importantly, I would like to be able to buy more than 5 planes at a time. And perhaps get a discount if I buy a lot. Say 10% off if I purchase 20 or more aircraft.
Thank you for your opinion! If we can order an airplane from the plane's detail, we need to consider what type of airplane is out of production already so we will discuss with our dev team how we can improve the process. As there are many things included in the load factor, one of them is the seasonal factor such as summer vacation and X-mas. We think it is the same as in real life..Please kindly advise how do you think?
Thank you. Wow! just realized that you are #4 player in CH9! Hope you have a great time with ATO continuously!
Thank you for your suggestion! Actually all the route has the seasonal factor such as summer vacation(July, Aug) and X-mas(Dec) already that is why more passengers at that time now in the game.. Thank you.
The seasonal factor is ok, but it fluctuates too much. And maybe it would better if we had a way to set our prices in advance, to match with the demand, instead of having to change them every month. Also the problem of planes losing value needs to be fixed urgently. I can't be alone in thinking this. A plane should not lose half of its value in 10 years. It's ridiculous and unrealistic.
Passenger loads are certainly very cyclical based on seasons, I think the model is fine. (Yes, I've worked for a major national airline in the past).
There are certainly changes, but not 30% swings, just a few percentage points is a lot. Real airlines have only a few percent difference in revenue from quarter to quarter, far from 30%.
Another problem that hasn't been addressed is losing value when I sell old planes and use the cash to buy new ones. That doesn't make ANY sense at all. I'm selling my crusty old 707s, and buying a fleet and shiny new 747s. My value should increase because the value of my planes has increased. My rank is dropping because of this, despite making record profits, and having the best fleet out of all of my competitors.
That is because the company's value includes your cash at hand. Even if you buy a billion dolars worth of new planes, it won't increase your value since your loss of cash (used in buying) offsets the vaue of your newly bought planes. Someone in this forum said that when you sell your old planes, you are selling them at a discount. So overall, when you sell your old planes and used them to buy new ones, your value will be decreased. Example (simplified) Current cash: 200M Value of current (old) planes: 1,000M (1 billion) Current company value = 1.2 billion Now suppose you sold all your planes at 20% discount, which is equivalent to 800M cash. So you have a total of 1B in cash now Suppose you used all your cash to buy new planes, at 1B cash. So now, Cash at hand: 0 Value of (new) planes: 1,000M Current value of company = 1,000M So in effect, your company's value dropped by 200M Of course, the idea is that you should get higher profits from your new fleet of planes, so that your 200M loss will be offset later on.
I think we misunderstood each other. What I meant to say was that the possibility of having routes that ONLY operate in certain times would be nice. For example, I could have the ability to operate a route from Washington to New York in ONLY June, July, and August every year. Hopefully I clarified what I was trying to suggest. Thanks!
In addition for my request to an AI/offline version ( ), is there a chance there's a database of all of the aircraft/specifications in the game? Would help for long-term planning and comparisons. Thanks.
Why do some airports open at different dates in different channels? For example, in channel 26, the year is 1973, and the airport in Georgetown, Cayman islands just opened, but in channel 9, the year is 1992 and it is not open. There are also some other major cities missing airports; Caracas, Venezuela for example.
Turn off the route on the map I would suggest there is a button to turn off ALL the route on the map. I am using IPAD 2 and it become too slow even if I only show my own route on the map. The only work around now is to select a city every time, but this is annoying.
