Anyone heard from any of the devs recently? I've messaged them about some issues and haven't heard back.
I messaged them a few days ago. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like an offline/AI version is in the works any time soon: "Actually we need more time to consider for ATO offline version because we have started our next project such as trading game in Mid age so kindly wait for us!"
I'm less concerned about an offline/AI version of this game than I am having them fix some of the glaring problems with it, and completely ignoring my bug reports.
I've all but given up on the game. The changes in demand are far, far, far, far too dramatic. At United, the revenue spread between the low and high quarters just over 10%, not the changes of over 50% I have experienced in ATO. It is absolutely insane to have a swing of 800m profit to 300m profit in one month, it takes too much time to manage 200 routes on a monthly basis, hell, just 10-20 takes enough time. Also, airlines get major discounts based on order size. It is not uncommon for airlines to get 50% off list price on a large order. The maximum order size should be increased and there should be something like a 1-3% decrease in price for every plane up to 50% discount (size of per plane discount based on list price).
I'm almost giving up on the game too.. I worked in the travel industry and these swings are just too abrupt and without rhyme or reason.
I messaged the devs several times about this (and I know I'm not the only one )and no they refuse to listen or even making any changes. All I get is "kindly understand blah blah blah." They've made some minor cosmetic changes since launch but the biggest problems have yet to be addressed, and it's quite frustrating.
Still don't understand how I can have a 90% cabin service satisfaction rating, an aircraft with 95.3% rating, and a total satisfaction in the 50s while competitors are up in the 80s-90s
Did you checked your employee satisfaction ratings? How about the counter and office utilization? If the utilization is more than 100%, then that could affect your overall satisfaction ratings.
Another factor is your company's "name" value. This is determined by the amount of advertising investment you allocate.
Increasing the max amount of orders would put low-ranked players at a disadvantage even more, and the gap between the "rich and the poor" companies would get wider. Hey, if you can afford to order 5 planes at a time, then you are doing really well I agree with the discounts though. What I would like too have considered is historical discount. In my current game, i have bought more than 80 747s (cargo + passenger). So i would expect Boeing to give me some discount on my future orders with them
Yes they're all set on extra high. I was told it was a bug. Lost my interest after I spent a considerable amount of cash to renovate some of my planes.. That and the extreme swings of load factor. At times in one turn with positive traveler index my load factor will plummet and at times it will go the opposite even If I don't change any setting. Sometimes by more than 10% swing either way.
94% aircraft satisfaction 99.2% service satosfaction Extra high on customer service and advertisement... But route satisfaction is only 44%?! What is the math in this?? Explain please! Thanks!
What are the actual (current) values of the following for your airline company? 1. Name Value 2. Service Level It takes a while to maximize the above values even if you set your investments to Extra High. On my current channel, the above values for my airline are 73.5 and 79.9 respectively, and Im already on my 25th year. You cant expect any company to be "well known" overnight. Also, if your service level is increasing slowly, check your "employee rate". I would suggest maximizing it as well So i think it is safe to assume that the overall satisfaction is determined by at least 4 factors: aircraft, cabin service, name value, and service level. The counter and office utilization of the destination / arrival airports could also affect the overall satisfaction, i.e. if the the counters and offices are in "yellow" or "red" status, it would most likely lower the overall route satisfaction. Obviously, the developers wont likely reveal the actual formula for computing overall route satisfaction. Otherwise, players can easily strategize on how to win. I can try to apply some statistical multivariate regression analysis to come up with an approximate formula, but it wont exactly match what is being used in the game.
1st class all the way? Has anyone tried creating a exclusively 1st class route? Is it worth on the long run? I am currently experimenting on one such route (HK to Houston). It is just on my 2nd month for the route, and the occupancy rate is only 4%, with no competitors. I am not sure if i have to wait for a few more months, or "cut my losses" now and renovate the plane to the normal economy/business/1st class configuration. Thanks
New airport? Question to the developers I just created a new airport at NY, and it wont be completed until tomorrow. My question is can I transfer my existing JFK routes to my new airport, or do i need to close those JFK routes and recreate them using my new airport? I am using almost 700 slots at JFK, so i figure i will save money (slot expense) if i transfer them.
