    Thank you, sir! I'm so glad you like the new colour mode - very different from what Air Supply is, but it still kinda works I think :)

    Still busy with the bosses - working hard (it's gone 1am here) to try and get them in for you to look at!

    Once they're in, I just need to add Game Center stuff, flavour/tutorial text, polish it lots and then test like mad. And it'll be done :O

    Thanks again for your feedback. The screenshots you sent really help!

    Hello all!

    Had a very busy weekend trying to get some bosses put in.

    Nearly done, but they are tough. I'm hugely embarrassed to admit the game is being delayed by about a week till I get these guys right.

    I am really sorry about that, but it will be better for it, I promise!

    It's a giant boot, yes. And his name is Willy :)

    He's not quite done yet - it took an age to get the movement working, then constrain it within the screen and do its stuff!

    Naughty misbehaving boss! Hope to have him do what I tell him to today!

    Seven of ten bosses are moving correctly - the rest I'm still working on, but hope to have finished them by the weekend (including sending out a build to my testers).

    Of course, once movement is done I have to work out firing patterns too...

    Lots to do!

    Loving the Manic Miner foot boss although the original (what's that?) stamping foot is probably the one in the Monty Python opening credits. Either way, silly, bizarre, utterly unexpected and genuinely amusing. Nice one.

    You're right of course, it's 'originally' from Monty Python, then appropriated as the game over screen for Manic Miner:



    I've never to my knowledge seen it as a boss though :)

    Hey all, just a quick update.

    I'm VERY nearly done, you'll be glad to hear.

    Hurrah!

    Unfortunately I've been a bit poorly these last few days, and I'm still not 100% which means I haven't got what I needed to get done, er, 'done'.

    Sorry :(

    I was hoping to get the game sent out this coming week, but it may have to be delayed a week now, just so I can finish stuff off and have time to get it tested.

    You guys have been so awesome and patient - I'm sorry to have to ask you to wait a little bit longer.

    I've got 28th August pencilled in for release right now. If I feel better and get fast feedback, it may be sooner - but that date is the one I'm aiming for right now.

    What needs doing:
    Bosses finishing off
    Game Center leaderboards/achievements added
    Flavour text finished
    Instructions added


    It's a small list, hence the 'very nearly done' bit - Not long now!

    I'd give you sheepyhugs but you might catch my cold!

    Hello all, hope you're having a good weekend - especially those of you in the UK with an extra day off on Monday!

    I am almost done... *faints*

    As a bit of background, Nexus Game Studio ( https://twitter.com/NexusGameStudio) started around the same time I did, and there's been a mutual admiration (I hope!) since then!

    They very graciously allowed me to use their Gravonaut character in the original Air Supply. And pretty much every Air Supply game since.

    Indeed, The Gravonaut has been in more Quantum Sheep games now than Nexus games! I've kinda adopted the little fella!

    Hope you're feeling better, having recovered from bit of sickness (good thing it wasn't Ebola!)

    I saw you estimated August 28th, you still feeling that? ;)

    I actually tweeted the guys asking if there was anything they wanted put in the bio - what's written is pretty much word for word what they replied with :)

    I'm still not 100%. To make things worse, the FatherSheep isn't feeling that great either.

    It seems that this game has taken twice as long as I would have liked. I think this is down to 4 months of working on the game, 4 months of dealing with horrible life things :(

    I am, just about. The game needs to be sent by Thursday at the latest to be out (hopefully) by the 28th.

    The flavour text is now done, and the instructions are next before I go back to the bosses, Game Center and balancing the unlocks.

    Putting stuff in is not too difficult, it's playing and testing the game that's the hard part.

    I'm realising that no matter how hard I work to keep bugs out, some I have never seen will suddenly appear once new people play it!

    But yes, so far, I'm on for the 28th. Will keep you all updated, obviously!

    Back to work. Let's finish this! :D

    Can't wait! And, if you need to, you could still use us as very late beta testers. Maybe it should be more of a gamma test? We will be forgiving and helpful about any extra bugs that pop up!

    I hope everything goes well leading up to the end!

    There are *reasons* why you lot can't test this game. They're good reasons, and reasons of love, not defensiveness or fear.

    Honest!

    Any new games I make I will deffo try and get you guys involved somehow. But I want this one to be a joyful surprise for you all!

    Also: Gamma testing is dangerous. Ask Dr. Banner ;)

    The nice thing is, this is my biggest game yet. So I can show stuff off, and you will *still* be surprised (I hope!).

    I'm working hard, honest! The flavour text is done - I also managed to get the ending done. It's the same, graphically, for each character - but each character has different text, and is awarded a unique title.

    Tied in to achievements, I hope it'll give people a reason to finish with all the characters!

    I am very excited to be so close to finally finishing *fingers crossed*

    Thank you all for your wonderful patience and enthusiasm. I've had a tumultuous year this year, and your support has really kept me going!

    Thank you for the kind words! I'm just putting in the 'unlock averages' into the game, and seeing how they pan out.

    This is a really central bit as it determines the frequency and type of unlocks in the game :O

    I will be up all night tonight no doubt as I still have some bosses to finish off. Then tomorrow I'll add in the Game Center stuff and if all's ok, send it to Apple for review :O

    I am terrified to be so close to finishing. You know those times you've gone out and suddenly a thought pops into your head like "Did I leave the iron on?" or "Did I lock up on my way out?" or "Did I shut all the windows" - yeah - that's what it's like when you send off a game! :p

    Quick update!

    Hello lovelies! Here's the latest on the game:

    tl;dr - I'm running late, but will try and get it out on time anyway! :D


    Ok, so I'm still working on finishing the bosses :O

    They are tough to put in! And this means while I have overshot the submission date (to get it out by next Thursday) I am going to ask Apple, in a very lovely way if it can expedite the review (so I can still get it out by next Thursday).


    I am trying really hard to finish everything tonight/tomorrow so that Apple gets the submission by Friday and it won't seem too cheeky to ask for an expedited review.


    So my plan is:

    1. Finish off bosses
    2. Add in Game Center stuff (a lot of the groundwork's already been done on that).
    3. Send a test build to myself and testers (mainly for me - to check it all works!)
    4. Test lots.
    5. Test some more.
    6. Send to Apple on Friday.
    7. Write to Apple on Friday to say 'Any chance of expediting the review? Pretty please?'
    8. Cross fingers.
    9. Panic.
    10. Run around like a headless sheepy.
    11. See what happens.

    Sorry for multiple delays. Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm pretty burnt out but I'm excited to finally get this to you guys!
