Thanks! I played it for about half an hour before getting to bed every night, and it helped me relax.

I made sure I beat a level with at least two lives - progress was a bit slow, but it's a wonderful game and I just kept pushing on!:)

I was excited too! I'm looking forward to @planetshooter's feedback. The rest has thus far been:

    a) It works!
    b) A UFO killed me.
    c) :D

I was kinda hoping for more detail, but I can glean a lot from the responses ;)

Also, as well as general feedback, I have the game 'unlocked' for testing purposes.

    This means:

    1. Music, characters and colours are all already unlocked. I count the air, stars and kills players get for these and include a timer.

All I need from the testers *really* is a 'game over' screenshot - this shows me how many of each item a player has managed to get over time played.

I then get an average from everyone's experience and write it all down real scientific like and work out exactly when things should unlock for players.

Then I play the game and tweak the values depending on whether I think something is unlocked too soon or too late - the 'gut feeling' part!

It's how all the Air Supply game unlock systems have been worked out. Hopefully it'll work this time too ;)

    2. Planet unlocks and perk unlocks are at a fixed rate - these are locked even in the test version as I don't need info on them! (but testers need to play the game to unlock them, which gives them some impetus to play I hope and gives me more info!).

I had a lovely time, thank you! I became unbearably wonderful quite early on, and went to 'bed' around 5am - I am just about recovering this morning, two days later.

    I'm getting old I fear :(

Getting home wasn't as much fun though. The car broke down and I had to wait a couple of hours for help to arrive :O

My phone was at 10% charge, so I couldn't even use that to pass the time. Just a little sheepy. Stuck in a car with the bonnet up. With only my thoughts to keep me company.

I'm amazed London didn't burn to the ground ;)

    Back to work! Yay! :D

Holy frijoles! It sounds like you had a rough go of it. My first experience in London was being lost in the super late hours of the night. That was scary. We finally found a shady taxi and then drove through a mob. I think someone died in that mob based on the newspaper in the morning.

That being said, London was really a lovely place once the sun came up. I would like to go back one of these days.

Can't wait to have SOS in my hands! I hope the testers are really enjoying it. When in doubt, go with a later unlock for stuff and things!

Oooh - sounds like that was scary! I'm so used to London - it's my home town! But I get very nervous in cities I'm not familiar with, so I can empathise completely!

Apart from New York. New York is lovely :D

Here's a pic of the sheepmobile on the back of a lorry/truck thingy!

I thought riding in the truck thingy back home would be fun, and it was for a bit, but honestly, the seats were not comfy, and the driver (who was lovely) decided to go over every single bump in the road on the way home.

I was sore and achey and a bit zombified at the end of that, and grateful for a cup of tea! :O

It felt a bit odd ringing up the father sheep and saying 'Happy Father's Day! Send help!' - bless him!

There's plenty of stuff to unlock, don't worry. The *plan* is that I take a little break when this is over and decide what I want to do next.

As a result, I really want to keep you guys entertained with the game for a good long while!

Here's my current 'Game Over' screen:

Notice the 'Time' at the top - that's how long in seconds I've played the test version on my phone.

Normally, the numbers under 'next unlock' would show you how many you need to get to unlock the next thing (just like in Air Supply - Infinite)

For the test version it shows how many you've actually got.
I have 283 stars (for characters)
271 sheep rescued (yay! - also, I can tell how often perks are unlocked with this)
    463 air pickups! (for music)
    1743 kills! (for colour)

When I get everyone else's data, I add it all up, get an average and work out how many things they get per minute.

Then I decide how many minutes it should take between unlocks.

As well as these 'normal' unlocks I have to factor in how often a perk is unlocked, plus some options and other secret stuff.

It'll keep you all busy I hope - I'm just sorry it's taking so long!

I've been busy lately, but glad to see some juicy sheepy updates! (Sorry to hear about the sheepymobile!)

The sheepmobile is back in action you'll be glad to know ;)

Sorry everyone for a lack of updates - I've had three (THREE!) 40th birthday parties to attend of late, and yesterday was the Mothersheep's birthday too!

As a result I've not had a huge amount of time to get on with the game. Luckily, getting a build out to people earlier was a good plan as I've had a steady stream of feedback and it's all been useful.

The main thing everyone has been saying is that it's hard. Really hard. From the start.

I always thought this would be a 'good thing', but with everyone saying the same thing, I'm happy to concede and make it a bit easier when you start.

There are 100 levels in the game. I think the first 10 being 'too easy' should be fine, as there are 90+ more levels to get through that up the challenge ;)

The other thing mentioned was the controls. Now, nearly everyone loves the controls (which I'm sure I've mentioned was a huge relief!) but some have asked for the left/right buttons to be moved a little to give the 'left' button a bit more space.

    I think they're right, so I'm on that :)

Finally, a few people have mentioned that they didn't notice they were low on air. I've now added an audio warning when you're low on air, which will hopefully help with that.

Also, bubbles. Air bubbles appear around you if you're low on air - good to have audio AND visual cues I think ;)

So yeah, feedback has been good, I've been tied up a bit with real life, but I'm back on it again this week!

Hope you're all well and enjoying the footie/weather/holidays/whateveritisnormalpeopledo :D

Footie for me. Hoping for a draw between the US and Germany on Thursday.

I think starting off easier is always a good move if there are lots of levels and it gets brutal. Can't wait!

I've been watching the World Cup in the background while I work - it's just a really nice way of working - two 45 minute chunks of time in which to get something done :)

I agree, starting off easier is always best. I guess what I have been worried about is people getting bored if it's too easy.

To me, the game *is* too easy. But I've been playing it, on and off, for about 3 years now :O

Which is why it's always so important to get a fresh perspective from other people! It will hopefully make a better game for you guys!

    Hurrah!

    Back to it!

They sure stepped it up. Lots of exciting (or devastating, take your pick) late upsets this year.

It's been an excellent World Cup so far I think - lots of upsets as you said, and every match is pretty unpredictable.

To see the Greek population celebrating in the streets you'd think they'd won it already! :)

Also, by Sheepy decree, if your team is out, then you're all automatically honorary Greeks now :D

I guess I didn't say before that my trip to London came the last 3 days of a semester in Greece. I lived in a little coastal town called Porto Rafti near Athens. So, I feel the love, though the US still has an excellent shot at moving on.

    Well done #usa :D

I'm working on the intro right now - here's a sneak peek ;)

I have to animate this a bit - it's the Time Travel Clothing Company (TTCC) shearing the wool of Quantum Sheep for its temporal properties :O

Once that's done I'll be making a new build for testers. While they're looking at that, I'll be working on the bosses.

Excited again, but it's a really hard slog to stay motivated this close to the end :O

    Hahah right there with you!

It was kinda funny seeing Portugal attempt to make up for that huge goal differential too, which they didn't even get close to

    Bless 'em! :p

Happy to see my American cousins going through to the next round! Congrats!

    How exciting!

Still working hard on the game here and thought I'd show you a little something for #screenshotsaturday :)

You can unlock characters, planets, music, colours, some options and then on top of all that... there's secrets ;)

    Hello!

*sheepyhugs* to the USA and Greece - unlucky boys! :(

BUT - it's July 4th. Which apparently is a big deal in the US!

So I've decided to make the original Air Supply free for the weekend! You can find that here:

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/air-supply-1bit-run/id423073029?mt=8

I know most of you guys reading this have already got it (and thank you for that!) but tell your friends and your pets in case they haven't played it!

In the meantime I'm feeling ill. Working hard. Sleeping the oddest hours. Progress!

Toodless for now. Have a fabulous weekend!

Every time I see a post here I think that it's time. Take as long as you need though and have a great weekend.

I'm finally past my mourning phase for the US. My wife surprised me with an official Nike US Soccer hat and jersey on Thursday :D, but I had to return the jersey because that white is super see through. It felt awkward.

I hope you're feeling better! Take your time; we'll still be here!

Hello all! Hope you're doing well! :D

Sorry! And I've probably just done the same again, right?

Tell you what, if you assume the game's NOT out when you see a new post, you'll get a lovely surprise at some point! :D

Thank you for your kind words and your awkward super see through tale! At least you can't go far wrong with a hat, eh? :D

Still working on the game. It's a real bloody slog now. But it will get done eventually!

Thanks so much for your support, and apologies for the radio silence. I had some IRL stuff to attend to, which is never fun :(

    Speak soon!
