I don't quite know why SOS wasn't featured in Lebanon, but then again neither was (The) Banner Saga (in any way, shape or form) despite being Editor's Choice in the US. :/ Does that warrant more flinging of rotten carcasses at Apple or not? Either way, congrats on getting featured and I absolutely love the TA love SOS is getting, so I think I'll be celebrating with a warm cup of tea...followed by some ice cold beer. Also, this thread still makes me smile.
This is lovely to hear! A new flocker joins the flo...wait, that doesn't sound right! Er, 'welcome'! I hope my games make you smile for a very long time! That's rich coming from you! (I'm sorry, I COULDN'T HELP IT. (even if it doesn't make sense - I just had write that! My hooves danced across the keyboard as if possessed! I'm so, so sorry! :O)) Someone mentioned to me that the AS games are sequels, but they're also their own little games too - they're not just 'The same with more stuff in', they have distinct personalities and game mechanics, though they do share some common features. The first two are quite restrictive in that they're both infinite runners, but even then they're quite different from each other I think. It's why I think of it as a universe rather than a series or 'franchise' I hate that last word if I'm honest! I'm so happy that new people are trying the games out for the first time. That's pretty awesome! I hope you're still here for Air Supply 29 Yes! Welcome new humans! Lovely to see some new faces in here! *whispers to the others* We're going to need a bigger boat! I like that people have favourites, and that they're not always the same ones! As I said before, each one has its own personality I hope! \o/ See what I mean? 1bit run is a bit manic - Infinite I actually find to be more relaxing - all in the same universe! Weird, eh? Yep, the game has some issues which still need to be addressed - though I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to diving back in to account for the new screen sizes - especially as I can't afford to just grab one of the new devices for testing :O Always a challenge, eh? I have a feeling you really want to do that regardless! TEA! Honestly, after not getting featured by Apple last week, I was a bit disappointed but not hugely surprised. I went out for dinner with my Aunty Sheep and was explaining that getting featured really helps, but it hadn't happened this time. Regardless, I was happy because people were saying lovely things about the game and enjoying it! I was making people happy, and that felt bloody marvellous Then I got home the very same evening and the game got featured! Crazy! It's like the icing on the cake, and it's lovely to see new people come into this thread and be so enthusiastic too! I have more to say about all that - about how you guys will never know just how much I appreciate all the love, kind words, helpful advice, criticism, suggestions and just general 'help'. It. Is. Brilliant! Thank you! *sheepyhugs* Yes! YES! See above! QS =D
As if the quality of your games didn't speak volumes, your infectious personality doesn't make it hard to fall in love with you, sir. I believe I said the same words years ago in the 1bit Run thread, but I'll say it again...you're a class act. <3
Mister QS, we all know what's lurking inside me. I don't think I'm anywhere the perfect candidate to be sticking anything into.
*runs* Oh, while I'm (not) here, I just wanted to thank everyone for the forum game of the week thingy! I'd heard of it before, but wouldn't even know where to look for it on the forums - silly sheepy! :O But look what happened! You lot did! You humans get a bad rep sometimes, but there are some diamonds in amongst you - thank you QS =D EDIT: I made this for you
She thanks you for your contribution! Just to let you know, the update is still 'waiting for review'. Fingers crossed it's not long now! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! QS =D
still unlocking stuff here - just unlocked connector and cygnet 7 - proper smile on face stuff. Loving Ultimate mode but still waiting to unlock living colour to get the full JetPac effect. So looking forward to Game Center working now to see everyone's hi/lo scores.
Nice! I do love that people keep playing the game to unlock things, but that they also just enjoy playing the game! (I hope!) I'm feeling a little poorly tonight, so I'm going to bed early! Will talk to you all tomorrow, and will update then! Toodle pip! QS =D
Sorry I didn't reply sooner - was sleeping/poorly/curledupinaballofwool :O Thanks JCHo I was actually working on the Mac version of SOS this weekend. The hardest part was, "Do I keep the controls the same?" Because the controls come first - and these were made specifically to work well on iOS - or as well as they can! Which is why there's just one button for Thrust/Fire - once that was in, the game began to take shape 'around' that. For that reason, I decided for the Mac version to keep the same one button setup. Putting in a secondary 'fire' button would have been pretty trivial - but then, it wasn't SOS anymore :O Update update: I literally just checked *this second* and it's still waiting for review - hopefully once it gets to 'in review' it won't be there long and will soon be in your grubby lit...er, perfect little paws! Hope you all had a good weekend, and that Monday is kinder to you than it's being to me! *shakes hooves at Mondays* QS =D
Hey all! I'm braving a very sore throat to come and let you know that the game is now 'In Review' - hopefully won't be long now! I'll let everyone know if it's safe to update - which *hopefully* it should be. QS =D
Hooray! And drink some tea for your throat. (I feel your pain, I'm taking a sick day today for a nasty cough).
I have felt my energy generally draining away the last 2 or 3 days - today it's at its worst - it's actually an effort to just type right now. :O I hope you get well soon! And yes, tea is definitely on the Agenda QS =D
Hope you and Jerutix feel better soon Just wanted to let you know that I finally got around to writing a review on the US App Store. I think you'll like it Also enjoyed reading Rich and Noen's reviews while I was there. Hopefully mine will show up very soon. I ended up buying your other two games, and like you said, while there are similarities in all three, they're all a very different part of the Air Supply universe. I really find it hard to choose a favorite amongst the three. Thanks for keeping us updated QS, you rock!
