I'm very glad you have an iPad! Currently the game runs great on an original iPad, but I have hundreds of things to add to it. I'll send you a PM with a screenshot I'm back on the ios7 version of the original Air Supply today and it's a lot of work! I haven't forgotten about the crash bug in ASI though - I've been looking at it and can tell exactly where it's happening (I think!) but I can't actually find a way to fix it. I've asked some third parties to take a look, who are much better than me - I'm hoping they can help out. Apologies for the inconvenience It's actually Mr.Funkleberry - and he did some of the original art for the first AS (you can see his name in the credits!). Though he wasn't directly involved with ASI, it's lovely to see him enjoying the game so much! QS =D
I knew he wasn't a real doctor. Properly looking forward to seeing SOS. If you need any help testing 1-bit run on iPads or iPhones or anything just let us know. It'll be nice to get that going on a big screen at some point. Great stuff.
I wrote a huge response (as usual!) and then got logged out. So I'll just say 'Not much. Planetshooter played an early version last year. I don't want to give too much away. But it *is* fun, because people that like my games would expect that, right? Alas, I don't have/can't afford an artist, so it's taking forever!' Also: SOS = 'Save Our Sheep' QS =D
Because this week is quiet with only one purchase, I give this one a try. Impressions are good and the gameplay looks similar to Catch-22, sounds like my type of game and btw: SOS = Sink Or Swim !!
*tucks you in* There there... We'll see about that! But thank you for giving the game a go - I hope you like it! QS =D
This is gonna sound weird... But hey, this promo is on for another 18 hours only at time of writing: http://www.gog.com/promo/fallout_series_giveaway_winter_promo_2013 The Fallout games are some of my faves, (Fallout 3 is in my top 5 games of all time I'm sure!) so getting 1, 2 and Tactics for FREE is nothing to be sniffed at! Get them now! (And yes, I forgive you playing them instead of my games!) QS =D
Yep - I wouldn't know how to play a game on my PC. Purely for work. Just saw that mister funkleberry has got more than 100 cups. I've only managed one today but will get them.
Trust me - download them anyway - great games to have and you never know what the future holds I saw that today too. Seriously, that is some real dedication right there. I didn't think anyone would go for that achievement, but it seems there's a few on the way! (I was secretly hoping you'd be the first!) QS =D
Just to let you know... The original Air Supply has been updated for iOS 7 and those lovely long screens! I literally just sent it off now (6:30am!). I hope it's ok and gets approved soon, will keep you updated. Cheers! QS =D
Hey all, hope you're well! Just wanted to poke my head in and say 'hi' and give you guys a couple of updates! I've been playing 'the waiting game' a lot, but I've been pretty productive on Air Supply SOS - it is bloody addictive though, which slows me down :O I did notice Mister Funkleberry now has 133 cups on Air Supply - Infinite. Wow. That just blows me away! Hope you're all well. Things are winding down here at Sheep Towers as we approach Xmas. The submission to Apple for the original Air Supply has been rejected unfortunately. It just means I have to resubmit, but that takes more time to go through their review process, and unfortunately it looks like it'll miss Xmas (as Apple shuts its doors for the holidays on the 21st). Apologies for that - it's done (works great on my phone) so it *is* coming! Thanks again everyone for your lovely words and your patience! QS =D
Yep, mister funkleberry has stormed ahead. I'll be catching him up over Christmas though. My eldest son has just started playing too which is great. He was chuffed to get 7,000 or so yesterday. If he can get word round his school. What a shame about 1-bit run. I stuck it on my 5S so I could start all over again. That'll give me Christmas to try and beat mister funkleberry's trophy cabinet.
That's great news about 1 bit Run (that the update is finished). Not sure whether I'll be playing it on my iPod Touch 5 or the ipad Mini, but either way I'm looking forward to it. Mr Funkleberry puts us all to shame! I too plan to do some catching up over Christmas; I wish I could say I'm aiming to be Christmas No. 1 but that may be out of reach at this point. Maybe if Funkleberry would come up for AIR!
That's awesome that your son's playing it too! Makes me a happy sheepy! Here's the honest truth about 1bit run - In the update it looks fab on an iPhone 5, but looks *worse* on iPad. The reason isn't very technical - it's mainly due to the graphics being made for a retina 3.5 inch display. Stretch it to a 4 inch display and it still looks lovely. Put that stretch from a 4 inch display to an iPad though and... eek. You'll notice that Infinite should look lovely on all devices, mainly because it was designed to be universal from the start. The original game is over two years old now, bless it, and was made at a time I couldn't do universal binaries, and 4 inch screens (iPhone 5 and up) just didn't exist yet! I'll see if I can do anything with it. You never know! But I'd recommend playing it on a device closer to that which it was designed for - i.e. an iPhone. For this reason, I'm currently thinking of making the original game free once the update hits. I am sorry about that, and though it's a small token gesture, I'm happy to give anyone in this thread that's bought 1bit run already another copy of Infinite via a promo code. Though you probably already have it, it may be nice to pass it on to someone else! Just PM me if you'd like one. It just goes to show how awful at marketing I am that I was caught by surprise when people played Infinite and wanted to try the old one! Should have seen that one coming! Additionally, Air Supply SOS is iPad only, so you iPad owners will get a treat next year sometime! While I could possibly make it for phones too, I've tried it and it just doesn't work as well. The same was true for .Matrixx - iPad only as it didn't suit a smaller screen. I'd rather the game was played on devices it was designed for, rather than shoot for more players and risk annoying people with smaller screens! Cheers all, thank for coming back again and again to this thread, and I will keep everyone updated QS =D
If I were you I'd make SOS universal. I played the hell out of minter's Minotaur rescue and Minotron even on the smaller screen while I was travelling with work and the iPad just wasn't handy. They weren't ideal on the smaller screen but I got used to them.
