No, no, it's by me! I think it's still worth picking up, but wait till you finish Infinite! (also, this gives me time to make 1bit run iOS7 compatible! ) QS =D
@quantunsheep - you should check out Catch 22. Anyway, can you give me a brief tutorial, to get me started. I'm getting a bit frustrated, though I do love the game.
This is what I got! The older game is awesome, I am liking it alot! Though it is not universal. So, yeah, both the older game and the newer one are great fun. Definitely, get both. The older game works fine on ios 7.0.4 ipad 3 for me. Don't know if it is possible, but would be cool if the older game could be universal, but maybe that's too much to ask. But yeah, liking both games alot! (FYI, the newer game, Infinite is universal, and is highly recommended!)
Sure! No problem. Firstly, your air supply (top left of the screen) is always going down. Pickup the O2 symbols to keep it up! The further you run without hitting an alien, the further you'll progress level wise. Level progress is shown on the right of the screen and by the changing background. If you get to the top level (the Void) you'll see an Infinity Cup - pick it up and it will unlock the next planet automatically and teleport you there! UFOs will not harm you, but will hold you in their tractor beam, making you more vulnerable to Aliens. Asteroids will hit the planet and revere your direction for 10 seconds. Smartbombs - This is really important. As well as killing all the enemies on the screen smartbombs will fill your Air Supply up to half. This means it's best to save them and use them when you need them most (as in, if you're down to 1 or 2 air!). How to kill enemies - use a smartbomb or pickup a shield when you see it! Pickups do various things: O2 - Adds 1 to your air supply O2 - white background - fully fills your air supply Star - does nothing, but collecting them will help unlock characters Freezer - Freezes an Alien if it's on the ground - otherwise will give you 1 extra star. Slowdown - will slow both you and the enemy down to your respective starting speeds. Shield - lets you kill Aliens, UFOs or Asteroids by jumping into them! Nuke - this is a smart bomb - kills all enemies, fills air up to 4 Along the bottom of the screen are four counters - these count down how many of each thing you still need to get an unlock. Stars - unlock characters Distance - unlocks planets (these can also be unlocked 'early' by grabbing an Infinity Cup). Air - unlocks music Kills - unlocks colours Hope that covers everything - let me know if you're still having trouble! QS =D
Awesome. Thanks. So the smartbombs fill the oxygen to 1/2, or give you 50% more than what you have? If im have 45% oxygen and use one, will I go to 95% to only 50%?
One Smartbomb to smite them all! There are 8 points on your air supply. A smart bomb will only fill it up to the 4th point. So if you have 4 or more, you won't see a difference. If you have 6 for example, and use a smartbomb, it will stay at six. If you're on 3 or less, it'll go up to 4. Hope that helps! QS =D
I'd like to be able to play in landscape and portrait mode. Looking at the game, I see no reason this wouldn't work.
This game reminds me of something I've played before but I can't remember what it was. You moved around a circle and kept jumping to avoid the other orbiting thing. All the while you were switching between the two and also jumping to pick up stuff. Weird.
Yeah, tried playing it in landscape mode, and it's actually funner, so I too would like it if it isn't too hard.
Love it - just got 7,700 and game centre hasn't updated but I really don't mind doing it all again. Fantastic tunes all over again. If Rob Hubbard had a speccy it would've sounded like that. Needs more people on them leaderboards though.
Ahh. Thanks. Yeah, Catch 22 The developer for C22 just did something SO COOL for me. I just went to reinstall it about a month ago, it wasn't in the App Store. I emailed him and told him how much I loved the game and asked if it was returning. I guess he didn't think anyone was going to play it again...he was so happy someone lived his game, and still wanted to play it. he not only put it back on the App Store for me, but he also sent me a custom build of Catch22 (and his upcoming game) that had an apology in the main menu and a custom thank you for supporting him with my name. Awesome experience.
