I'm currently decently into iMafia. Is there any reason I should be playing this game instead?

    Three new things:
    1) Missions are not automatically done. There is a multiple choice of gun, knife or bomb attack. There's a trend to the jobs but you're not always guaranteed to succeed.

    2) Joint missions are very cool. Earnings and EXP are greater, but ALL spies have to be successful. The more spies playing same mission the higher the risk and rewards! They don't have to be friends, just find them in same city.

    3) paid versions allow you to roam to other cities to do other jobs there too. They are similar to your home city in the Lite version, but different scenarios. Roughly ten jobs per city, and ten cities.

Got the lite version on Sunday, play a couple of singles and a couple on associated. Really don't get the "gaming" part -- I think I would not catch myself into some mechanism based on "filling out multiple choices".

We are also increasing bandwidth of our servers to speed up the game, interface performance and loading times will be improved on greatly in the next few days.

To flesh it out abit more, your chances of success are determined by several factors such as task difficulty, your level, skill attributes and choice of weapon and it's power. There is also a small random chance involved too. Eg. I succeed on Beijing's Clone Wars task 95% of the time using knife, which I specialize in, but not always win.
It's a wordy game, quite similar to the old adventure gamebooks, and it requires imagination on the player to visualize. If not the game can degenerate into something like a Multiple choice exam, Ie. Not fun. I'm liking it slot so far and paid $2.99 for the cheapest paid version, unlocking several cities. Was just abit bummed that some punk has added me to his htlist and now stalks me, killing in one shot to steal my cash.

Unisonsports: is there anyway to remove myself from this harassment??? Even if I bought a passport to avoid assassination, I still get pilfered by him! (called "Cleric")

Unfortunately the only advice I can give is level up high enough so that you can beat him. I have no idea why a player would randomly stalk someone unless they knew the person, maybe they recognize your code name? I will however like to add that Passports are currently being improved upon, the details of this are still 'classified'.

On that note, SGN takes harassment very seriously, and all instances of harassment should be reported to [email protected]. Killing players over and over is typically not considered to be 'harassment' unless other factors are involved (i.e. threatening messages).

He's 20lvls lower than me, so he only uses 1intel pt to lay a shot or two on me and add to his kill tally. Others might take 8+ intel points. And because I'm on his hitlist he can attack each time he's online. Maybe I need to do the opposite and REDUCE my EXP buildup, so he overtakes me and thus I'll become more "expensive" for him to attack! Haha

No intention to bash-and-trash. May be my expectation has gone to the wrong direction, thinking it may be something like Uplink which requires more skills (aka mini-games) than simply "lobbying".

    Unisonsports:
Your [email protected] email is not working, got bounced back when I tried sending from two acounts.
I seem to have lost all knives and bombs. Even the basic non-removable ones are missing. It's affected my mission performance. Can you please rectify this asap as I had bought two very good knives (game currency)

EDIT: they're all back now. Really could have done with the best knife some time ago because I squandered lots of energy points doing jobs dependent on them.

No offense taken! :) These games can evolve into something more proactive, and your suggestion should give some food for thought to the developers, who has responded directly here.

in my humble opinion, there are far too many of these games around. give my something with any fighting mechanic, turn based or real time, and then i'll consider.

^^^ Thanks for your humble opinion, please feel free to read those threads then.....

    Anyways, back on topic.
Another question for the developer regarding gameplay.
Do I only need one gun, one knife and one bomb in my inventory? Or am I supposed to have a gun for every "contact" I have ala other mob wars style games?
Basically, I want to know can I put all my money and resources into the best weapon for each class or is it better to have multiple of the same weapons.
Stated another way: More guns is better or 1 great gun? :)

From what I can tell, I think you just need one knife, bomb and gun for the missions. The results of the choice you make is partly affected by the quality of the weapon. I had a $41k knife that won me 90% of the Beijing Clone Wars job, but when I lost it through a bug, it kept losing that mission.
I don't think you need to accumulate weapons for anyone else.

What's going on with the game today?

My exp/level jumps up and down.. i.e. i'm level 21 with 13xx exp, then one click later i'm level 19, then level 20 in a minute. The same is happening to health.. I.e. you can heal up to full, then a few seconds later you are back to where health was a minute ago (noone attacked you it seems).

It sounds like some replication issues between servers.

Fighting is broken again as well ("You are not Online", "We can't connect to the server" errors).

Anyone else having similar issues today?

Unlike the many mob games, more weapons do not help your contacts. The weapons are only used by yourself, so you should spend money on buying multiple classes of weapons (so you have better odds of doing maximum damage).

    unisonsports,

It appears that fights take 40-50 seconds. So the app times out long before it gets a response from the server. Is this being looked into by developers?

I'm not currently experiencing these issues. This could be caused by a slow internet connection on your end (poor reception on EDGE network).

Just to make sure, I'm having our server team look into this to verify our servers are running with optimal bandwidth.

I just stopped experiencing fight issues as soon as I moved from London to Washington. So this might have been London only issue. Thanks for quick responses!

Forgot to add, I'm on WIFI.
