I know exactly how you feel because I've been through that too. But I can tell you that once you get to a certain level, things get quite abit easier. Why? Because you get enough attribute points to increase your HP and damage reduction (eg. Speed for reducing damage from those carrying super guns). HP increases also help reduce the % damage done by them, so that helps your chances to win battles. Let me give you an example at the risk of exposing my tactics: I specialise in knives, which means I put as many pts as possible into Strength. This increases my damage to others, as well as increase my HP. I also put as much as I can into Speed, which reduces gun damage. When I had enough points in both attributes to get over 60% effectiveness, I started to win battles against those on super guns. I had this guy called GR3DDY who has had the super sniper gun and killed me repeatedly. OF course I'd lose money, so what I had to do was do as many missions as possible. Buddy up with someone of similar level to constantly take turns initiating joint missions for more money and EXP. Once used up all energy pts, buy the best weapon you can afford (again, I use knives because you only have to upgrade Strength... guns require Accuracy too to win battles). Do this repeatedly until you have several knives, and then sell to the blackmarket to immediately have cash to buy a better knife. This also improves your chances of mission success (of those that are best completed using knives, like Beijing's Clone Wars). After some time, you will have enough HP and damage infliction and reduction to challenge those who hassled you. Back to GR3DDY, I went crazy and kept attacking him despite losses, but eventually wore him down until my damage % on his remaining HP was more that done by him. Then each time I won a battle, I levelled up. Within 1 day, I had increased by 30 levels. By that point, I was impervious to GR3DDY's attacks and thus also won each time he tried to take revenge on me.
Hi unisonsports! I highly appreciate your support, thanks a lot! Some features I would like to see in Ver. 2.x would be 1. an option to disable auto lock. Thus you could stay in the game while you are doing something else in real life and still accept invitations to joint games or see when you are being attacked 2. especially considering the above said it would be handy to have some sound / vibration notifications for certain events. Apart from that some sounds would be nice and would add to the atmosphere of the game. 3. In joint missions you don't see the introductions screen with the "story" of the mission unless you are the host. If you don't know the mission or don't remember, you have no clue what it's about - and sometimes lack hints for being succesfull. Thanks for considering! Cheers! P.S.: 4. I deem it to easy to attack agents from your hitlist, no matter where they are. I think you should at least have to travel to their location for being able to attack them. And I am not sure about this passport thing - am I right that buying one has no effect at all regarding hitlists?
For point one, I dont think the SDK allows the ability to overwrite the main Settings of the iPhone/iPod Touch... and auto-lock is one of them. Could be wrong, but I suggest you start getting used to disabling autolock manually.
I know several Apps that have this functionality (mainly clock Apps etc.) so from a technical point of view this should be no problem.
Thank you for your feedback. These issues are already on our plate for a new update and will be addressed soon!
First off, thanks for that quick idea - I was focusing on knives with a sub of explosives, so that helps a ton! On the same subject though, i've been getting the shaft as far as some of my points go when leveling up. I touched on it briefly in my first post, but I'll explain it a little more in detail here: I was lvl 4 with 73/75 xp and did a joint mission with 4 or 5 other users. All of us were successful and I gained 60 xp, jumping me to level 6. Unfortunately, when I went to add my attribute points, I only received three attribute points instead of the six that I should've. This has happened to me at least three times. If I don't get all of the attribute points that I've earned, I'll be sorely lacking compared to other players of the same level later on in the game. unisonsports, might you have any suggestions? I tried emailing this to '[email protected]' and '[email protected]' but both returned an email 404. :s
All help should be directed to [email protected] (I answer that email personally). As for the leveling issue, this is in fact a bug that is in development. The issue is that your experience does not reset after each level. We are going to fix that bug, so it becomes harder to level at higher levels (so you should probably do a bunch of joint missions right now before the fix is implemented) Once the fix is in place, it should be impossible to gain more than 1 level at a time.
I almost don't want to do joint missions though! I Even though I skip levels, I don't get all the AP from the leveling, so I'm missing something like 6-12 attribute points as it is. I've been heavily considering just resetting my character. I would prefer to not be able to skip levels - that would net me all the attribute points I could get my hands on!
Sorry, type: I mean to say once we fix this it should NOT be possible to level more than once at a time.
My apologies, i didn't really clarify this sentence: I understood completely what you meant in regards to the level jumping (and it's short life). I was just saying that I can't wait for the update because it would deny level jumping, therefore giving me the chance to use all of the attribute points that I should be assigned. The reason I was considering restarting my character is because I've lost 6-12 AP due to level jumping. I hope the upgrade/patch drops soon!
Most Wanted Agents How do people become "Most Wanted Agents". Is there an option to place the 'bounty' on them? Is it based on their stats? Why is it always the same people, and why are they always in the hospital? Anyone have any answers for the Most Wanted bit? Thanks.
I like this game for the most part. However, this trend of having the ability to buy yourself a better character is not in the spirit of gaming at all. I will not purchase any games that have this. It is extremely unfair and takes a lot of skill and fun out of the game. iMafia, another game I am growing to loathe for different reasons, at least has more balance to it, as far as who you can fight and be killed by. It isn't perfect in this regard, but it's a hell of a lot better. Developing games has always been about making money, but the greed in using this sales tactic is, in my opinion, really hurting rather than helping (speaking from a game players perspective). It may hurt sales in the long run too, but maybe not. All in all, I think it sucks and I will be removing this game from my phone.
This is the first version of this game, and the devs have already come in here and stated that they are working on balancing issues and have listened to various other requests that people have made. I really, really don't think they're in this just for the money...and i don't know where you get the, "buying yourself a better character is not in the spirit of gaming" because I could list tens and tens of games where this is not at all true. Give them a chance to balance it out, no MMORPG is going to be perfect from the onset. But since you've deleted it already, it just shows how begrudgingly people are willing to quit on a game, just because they may be the ones who didn't want to shell out the money like other people did...it's a double-edged sword here. While I agree that people who spent $20.00 - $30.00 in this game shouldn't be invincible, they should at least get their money's worth, and should definitely have more benefits over someone who just plays the Lite version and didn't shell out a single dollar for the game. Sorry that you had to leave, but I along with countless others that I see in-game every day will happily continue playing and give the devs a chance to work things out.
That's exactly what I've been wondering Mr. Charley! It seems it's the same people and I am baffled by nearly everyone who I click on it says they are in the hospital!
My guess is this: The people in the Most Wanted list are the top in a certain class of player. Money should have the people with the most money of all the Agency Wars players. Kills would have the highest kills of all AW players, etc. They're in the hospital because they're on the Most Wanted list, and everyone who's high enough level to fight someone in the MW list is constantly attacking anyone in it! While it may be cool to be on the Most Wanted list, you're sure to get a constant beating!
There's going to be a strong correlation between those with the most kills with those with the most money and missions. There's no other way really earn money! After reaching level 100, you have enough intel pts to really hammer away at more powerful guys (who don't have super weapons) and constantly win the fights (which boost your levels) and further enhance your winning stats. Earnings from missions then become a secondary factor. That said, I cannot figure out where "bounty kills" come from. There's no specific hitlist where you place a bounty on other agents like other mafia games, so how is that accounted for??? Eg. I've killed 5 people so far, all were on my personal hitlist, but it's not considered bounty kills.
