I'm one of the producers / game designers from SGN. Unfortunately the feature we're adding utilizes the iPhones GPS, so iPods are not included :(

Good to know in advance before I buy anything.
Was debating about buying this game as I'm really enjoying it, but...I have a Touch. So I guess as a Touch owner, good thing I didn't invest and support this game.
I guess I'm going to delete it as well before spending any more time in this as I'm suspecting you will start to support the iphone over the touch more and more....
Thanks for saving me $2.99 at least...

unisonsports, looking forward to update. This game has a great chance to outgrow Mafia Live and other similar games!

I'd like to request a couple of things which should help you grow user community:

    1. FAQ page on the website with some basic info on fights, missions, stats, etc.
    2. Message board (even a free one like google/yahoo groups would work)
    3. Give us some insight what the roadmap for the game is like (you already gave some hints which is great)

btw, I'm so glad Agency Wars doesn't have passive income (like real estate).

Touch owners are ALWAYS supported, in fact we spent an extreme amount of resources to develop this game so that users can play Offline (for Touch users without Wifi), and still keep the game balanced. The feature we are releasing this week is specific to GPS, so because the Touch lacks this feature, they are not supported. Touch users can still play the game just as before, and new features are currently being developed that support all platforms.

But, my GPS works where I have wifi. Will this be like the missions in your mafiagame where you have to go places to do missions? What if that place has wifi?

Keep in mind, "GPS" via wifi is not accurate, there is a 1000-3000 feet accuracy falloff for that. The feature we are releasing that utilizes GPS is not a core component to the game, and lacking this feature will not limit gameplay or functionality to anyone. This is just a little extra bonus to those with GPS.

Along side of this, we are also including bug fixes, and a more stable client. We are also developing new features that DO affect core functionality of the game, these features are available to both iPod and iPhone users. I'm really excited about these new features, they will be implemented later this month. Some of the features include: New items, New item types (not just weapons), double-agent status and more.

Thank you for your response. I greatly appreciate it.
In fact, I was not aware that I could play the game offline in terms of still being able to accomplish missions (just not joint). This means I don't have to go find wi-fi every day on my break from work! :) Just that in itself has brought me back on board with the game.

If I may bother you with another question:
    Attack Potential.
It seems yesterday I was at 61 after playing the gun shooting mini game, and today, I'm back at 0. Do I need to play this mini game daily (and multiple times) or is it a glitch?

Playing the Training Mini-Game increases your attack potential for a short period of time (I believe this is 1 hour), so it is best to play the training game before each play session.

so Im still a little confused about winning/losing a fight. From what a previous poster said, the win/loss is based on the overall % of damage done relative to your current HP?

so basiclly if i ever fought with say 30 HP aginst a player who say had 50, and i hit for 25 and he even hit for 16, he would win, even though i did 9 more damage? Seeing as how I only hit for 50% of his current HP and he hit me for like 54% or w/e?

sorry if this is a nub question but im just looking for some clarification because I have had fights where i will demolish ppl in terms of damage exchanged yet i still lose (i will only receive 12 dmg and they receive like 30).

Also, is there a way to not have to fight only lvl ones when fighting? it seems like all i ever see is lvl ones, in turn costing lost of points to fight. I will even go to the most wanted section and see ppl the same lvl as me yet when i go to the regular fighting button its still all lvl ones.

this game is the best out of all these mafia type rpg's by far. If the slow down issues were fixed i would pay some good money for this app. Until then I will stay with the lite version. But once the lag/slowdowns get fixed I will def be sinking some money into this game!!!:D:D:D

Does dexterity protect me against knives and bombs, or does it allow me to defend with them? I am wondering, because I keep getting blown out of the water by knives.

Dexterity lowers the damage you receive from both Bombs and Knives.

To answer your first question, yes. The player to inflict the highest % of damage wins, this includes if you are already damaged from a previous fight (So you should heal before fighting).

The list of players that is displayed is controlled by the server, right now it is displaying users in random order, I am currently updating this so that it displays users +- 5 levels of yourself.

Lag is always going to be somewhat of an issue if you are playing on 3G or Edge, as no matter how fast our servers are, your download speeds are limited. Lag experienced during wifi however is currently being investigated by our server guys, and we have already purchased new servers (they will be implemented in the next few days).

I am annoyed as much as anyone else with logging on to find that I've been killed in one or two shots and lost a good chunk of my money.

I have figured out a solution to the problem, but not a great one: Before logging off, buy the most expensive weapon you can afford with all of your money.

Unless there's a way to lose weapons that I am not aware of, this should prevent any major money loss as you won't have any upon being killed and you won't lose any spare weapons you've bought when killed. Unfortunately, the drawback is that you will lose half of your money selling the weapons back to the Black Market when you need money. This could be potentially mitigated somewhat by selling the spare weapons to other users, but that is risky due to the time factor involved.

Still, I'd much rather lose half my money to the Black Market than lose the money by having it stolen by other players. Seems to me that having money would only encourage others to kill you in order to get it.

I do hope a better solution is given to us in later updates, but for now, this is the one I'm using. However, if anyone else has a better solution, I'd love to hear it. :)

The thing is people don't necessarily attack you for the money, as they have no way of knowing how much you have....
I'm just happy when I fight and win....I can deal with losing when I'm not there, but I hate losing when I actually initiate it! ;)
It's like shooting myself in the foot! Doh!

Hmmm... that sounds like a nice little exploit to keep your money, going to have to patch that now :p

As for a solution to being killed, my best advice is to buy better weapons. The best defense is a good offense, in this case. Also keep in mind, its a general rule of game design: people have more fun when they have less money, VS when they have so much money they don't know what to do with it. We will work on ways to help protect your money, but at some point money has to be lost by someone for someone else to win it.

    Quick question,

Do we ever use all the weapons we have at our disposal? For example, if i own 3 different guns that do 3 different levels of damage, is it ok to sell the ones that do less damage and keep the one that does the most and still maintain my same attack/offensive damage potential?
