My mobile high score is 16.500 or something like that.
But it really needs an update. The performance is even bad at wifi and if you grow big enough the screen doesn't zooms out anymore, so I've got no idea where I am moving

I'm with you.. My high score is right up there with yours.. 16,800 or somewhere close to that. Once I got that big the game crashed shortly after.. Well it actually just went to main menu rather than crashing but I lost my cell and had to start from the beginning.. I never play free to play games usually but find this one addicting..

Yep, its highly addicting. I just made it to 18.700 right now but then i crashed. Its impossible to avoid the mines which often get kicked into you if you can not see what is around.
I will stop playing it until they fix that.

Once you get that big it's the point of shooting the mines and making them divide. Shoot them right into big players/

What I like most about this game is that it is fair at all stages- when you are small (less than 150 points) you can hide inside green bubbles to make a getaway, middle sized people can split to eat people easier, and large people can split and eat a bunch of people at once, but have to be cautious of viruses (spiky green blobs). With a little coordination it's easy to take down the biggest players at a medium level by shooting viruses at people (7 blobs of matter will make them divide), so even the biggest player is vulnerable to smaller players. Also greedy players who split at the wrong times often get eaten.
It's a good and relatively fair system.

    Some other random tips/info:
The maximum size for a cell which is about 25,000, and getting bigger will just reset the size to 25,000. You can have a total mass of over 25,000 if you have more than one cell, but when joining back together your mass will reset back to 25,000.
After dividing it takes roughly 30 seconds to start merging together again.
You need to be 25% bigger than someone to eat them.
Your cell can only split into a maximum of 16 cells.
If you enter a virus with a maximum of 16 cells you will eat the virus with no side effects.
Viruses can sometimes spawn inside people, which only poses a threat to extremely large cells.
Although the gamemode is Free For All, people with the same skin (picture on their cell) are generally considered teammates. Don't compete with your fellow doge to be the doge-king. Share a bit of your mass with them to show you are friendly, and then cooperate to hunt down bigger game.
If you have a good teammate who you trust and you have multiple small cells, feed him the cells and they will feed you back to avoid waiting to merge.
All cells passively lose mass over time. Bigger cells lose mass faster than smaller cells. This is to encourage you to keep moving.
The 'score' is a representation of the biggest mass you have been in the current game. Losing mass does not reduce the score.
Try to avoid people that are more than twice your size as they can easily split-kill you. However, people generally only split if it is worth it to them, so if you are just starting out don't be afraid of massive cells.
To activate a skin the name must be spelled correctly, but capitals can be exchanged freely.
Nicknames can be a maximum of 15 characters long.
If you are a big player and you need to stop playing, do the right thing and feed people your mass- don't just sit in a corner.
In a laboratory bacterial cells are cultivated (grown) on discs called Agar plates. The plates have a jelly-like substance called Agarose which is like food for bacteria. Agar.io is based on this concept!

Here's a list of some skins that I remember off the top of my head:
    Doge
    Sanik
    Sir
    Pokerface
    Origin
    9gag
Patriarchy (and the female version of patriarchy. Can't remember the name)
    Moon
    Mars
    Earth
    Ayy Lmao
    EA
    The name of a country
For more names visit the agario guide- they have a complete list of skins, however not all of them work for the iOS version.

Hopefully this helps some people become ex-cell-ent players :D

FYI to all those saying viruses don't work on big players- it would appear that if someone is not playing the game (eg. game crashed or simply quit the app while still alive) viruses have no effect, and the player eats the virus instead, similarly to when you have a maximum of 16 cells active. I'm not sure if this is a bug or it is intended, but the only way to eat them is to get bigger than them and engulf them entirely.

Fun port, but the lag is still a real problem. Would play a lot more often if that was fixed.

Hello Agar.io players! (Agar.ians? Not sure)

We're getting ready to launch our first major update to Agar.io on mobile, adding quite a bit of new stuff to the game. We've been absolutely blown away by how popular the mobile version of Agar.io has been - so we hope everyone likes the new stuff we're adding. We're very keen to make sure that these things do not impact the core gameplay that has been so popular, of course.

Here's the main things that are coming to Agar.io real soon:

    Track your stats

You'll now be able to keep track of your player stats, as you can on Agar.io in your browser. You'll be able to see your total mass eaten, your highest and average scores, plus your longest survival time among others.

    New premium skins

We're adding over 80 new skins to the game! They include black holes, Uranus, apples, baseballs, bowling balls, frogs, pandas and some slightly weirder ones too...

    Level up

We're bringing the profile system from the browser version to mobile: as well as tracking stats, you can also gain XP and level up as you play which gives you a small boost to your starting mass. It's also a nice number to show off with :p

Full details of the update can be found here on our blog. We hope to have this out pretty soon, will let you know when it's available :)

    2.1 road!
One thing i noticed... And by the way im comparing the mobile version to the computer one... are these:

-in mobile at any amount of mass, you can merge back in 30 seconds... in computer depending on your mass... it can take for 1 minute if you have 500 mass, if you have 10 or so thousand mass, it would take you a full 3-5 minutes to merge back.

-in mobile by covering someone's blob to halfway is enough to eat them, in computer, you need to cover 4/5 of the blob to eat them.

that's it. By the way can we get an update to be able to play teams, experimental or party?

This game is fun but I have a few complains:

    - Heavy lag playing on my computer. These days, there is always heavy lag. Don't know if it is because of bots or too many people on a single server. Sometimes I restart the game (to change server) and it helps.

    - Impossible to play on iOS. Don't know how it is on the iPad but in my iPhone (5s) bigger cells split on you before you can do anything. In the PC I can reach 1st spot every time. On the iPhone, only twice (out of thousand games). Once when everyone was entering the server and another one out of pure luck.
Agar.io could fix it giving just a single level up zoom and decreasing the split distance. That way we could see a threat. It's annoying how you spend minutes trying to grow and out of NOWHERE (since you can't see) a bigger cell splits and eat you.
