Timers and currencies def tainting possibly a stellar title. Shame.

  3. I am talking about nag timers and wait timers and other freemium elements.

That's still not true - there are many premium endless runners. Every genre has some freemium titles and some premium ones, the ratio for endless runners may be weighted in favour of freemium but it's definitely not 100%

  6. How do you get that from "that"?

Lots of good premiums lately. Here is a list of lots of new ones.

    Unpossible
    Leo's Fortune
    Botanicula
    Uncanny Xmen
    Biosis
    Monument Valley
    4444
    Blek
    Kiwanuka
    SXPD
    OTTTD
    Globosome
    Intake
    Hyper Square
    Suited Up
    Table Tennis Touch
    Axl & Tuna
    Wayward Souls
    Rolling Zimro
    Last Inua
    Flutter
    David
    AngerForce
    Third Eye Crime
    Dextris
    Plax
    Bezircle
    Superfrog HD
    Hazumino
    Lethal Lance
    2 Bit Cowboy
    Aliens Drive Me Crazy
    Darking
    Adventures of Fate
    Small Chronicles
    1-path
    Elarooh
    Kosmik Revenge

Some on this list too are runners. So of course I agree there are good premium runners or platformers too.

I guess the list of freemium ones would be muuuuuuch longer though... ;)
But yes, that's true: lately some devs came back to sobriety and released more premium stuff than before!

I didn't say anything about there being no premium releases recently, how on Earth did you think that's what I meant lol?

  9. If one made a list of all the freemium endless runners, one would be typing for a very long time.

But yeah, premium does seem slightly on a comeback. So that is good.

I dunno. I never said anything about premium endless runners either until you mentioned it. All I said was "that".

Anyway, maybe I am one of the few here on this thread, I look forward to trying out AG Drive regardless of all the talk about timers and freemiums here. It has cool graphics, and hopefully that stuff won't be bad.

    The driving looks pretty cool.

What do you mean with "that" in Pete's message? "That's still not true" ? He's right, it's not true what you said.

This game looks stunning. Especially the environments. But damn, timers? I can deal with grinding and multiple currencies and ads, but timers are the worst. Just totally ruins the pacing and gameplay flow of an experience. Think I'll have to pass on this

    +1 here. Agree.
And moreover, like bigrand1 said a few posts ago, I'm not sold on the game yet, regardless of the timers: yes, it has good graphics and sense of speed, but it seems to lack the gameplay that made titles like F-Zero so fun to play.

Timer(s) and currency = won't download it even for free!!!!! Please dev, make two versions, one premium for the real gamers, and another one F2P full of cr@p for the rest of the world

  16. So from the sounds of things, this seems to be a freemium mess.

I'm really concerned by the App description. It seems like the devs are only trying to sell to you the graphics of the game. All I've gotten of this game is 'freemium futuristic racer'. That doesn't get me to want to play the game, especially with other games in this genre on iOS which I would rather play

Yep, still not available in Australia.

What a week though! Possible to get every single game without breaking the bank. Shame most aren't all that exciting...
