ahem, can u kindly answer to my question I wrote above? I'm a customer, I have bought your app!! Thanks
I'd love to tell you what movies you can expect in future updates butthen againwhat fun would that be? your suggestions are all on the master wishlist.
Hi, I am one of those who did get a code for this and I am very glad I did. First, being a fan of old movies but also a fan of some of these movies specific, made me very interested in trying this app out. Second, to be able to download these movies, if I decide to have them on my device is a very nice touch. Not much else to say but I like the interface, for the simplicity, and the fact that it does exactly what I expect it to do, let me watch a very nice selection of movies that looks might increase in the future. My only suggestions might be to give us a description of the movie when you touch the cover art, or it brings up a screen to give you options of stream, download, or read a description of the movie. To starjimstar, thanks for the code, it is a very nice app that will get lots of use from me. Hope it does well for you as it would be great to see lots of updates. David
I gotta say, this app is great stuff. The library interface looks and works just as good as you'd hope, and the covers are a nice touch and well-done. It's pretty great having 30 classic, influential movies able to stream or be downloaded so easily; the movie prints are of good quality, and the streaming is smooth and quick. A description of each movie would definitely be a good addition, but what's here is solid and couldn't be better. Anyone who's even thinking of picking this up should jump on it for only 99 cents, 'nuff said.
Yep, you are correct! And, after all, I love all the old movies so you won't disappoint me with the future films added eheh I will see them all!!!!!!!!!
I just bought the app. Which movie is from Hitchcock? The movie cover print is too tiny so I can't see the director's name anywhere. I'd like to request more Abbot and Costello, Marx Bros., Laurel and Hardy and some Little Rascals. While the "Jack and the Beanstalk" was ok, the B&W versions where they meet up with the Wolfman or Frankenstein were some of the best.
I'm starting to think you guys want movie descriptions or something. Alright, alright, I agree it's a great idea and I'll bump up its priority. Look forward to it... not this next update but the one after that. Also, the Lady Vanishes is the only Hitchcock film ATM. It's the one in the upper left corner of the picture.
Thanks! 1. How do I delete a downloaded movie? I checked via iTunes transfer and found nothing to delete. I went to my device's DCIM folder and found nothing to delete. Please advise. 2. Please consider including functionality to "Pause" or "Cancel" a download in midstream.
Hey CD, 1. Hold your finger on the movie's box art for about 2 seconds and you will be presented with a delete button. (I was trying to make it similar to deleting an app and it was only later that I realized it's not as intuitive as I had hoped.) 2. In my tests I always just closed the app to stop a download but I will definitely consider a cancel button. It would be far more elegant than my current caveman style solution of just killing it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for getting back to me. Maybe you can consider including a "Help" or "About" drop-down menu to provide explanations or FAQs. Still...this is a good initial release.
Hey there, 'Nux fans. I'm here to remind you to get those reviews in before midnight on Friday (PST) if you want a chance to win one of four $10 iTunes gift cards. Sounds like a fair trade for a minute of your time, yes? Also, I have seen a few comments about slow download speeds so I want to take a minute to talk about that. I did test transfers over numerous, different Wi-Fi networks and, although download times varied greatly depending on the plan, provider, network traffic, etc; the speeds were consistently comparable to buying a movie from the iTunes app. Most of these movies are ~450 MB (and Birth of a Nation is actually a whopping 1.5 GB.) This is a lot of data to move and it is going to take time to move it. I had toyed with offering optional low quality video files for faster downloads but, to be honest, I don't like that idea. So I'm sorry to say I can't see download speeds changing any time soon. But if you still feel there is a problem, PM me your device details (model, OS version) and any specific info about the issue and I will do my best to get to the bottom of it. Thanks all and good luck in the contest!
