Why not just go out of the dungeon and buy mattocks in the store? It would take you less than 5 minutes. :p

I just stock up on mattocks and keys before going into a dungeon.

The games feels a lot like old school Zelda, like Link's Awakening or the NES original. Which is a good thing considering games similar to Zelda are rare, especially on mobile. It's not as focused on puzzles, though they are there and can be hard.

I didn't want to offer up the solution and give it a away unsolicited. If someone was in the same situation I would gladly reply and help out. I said it more so that another member wouldn't take time out of their day for something that was already figured out.

    Questions

1.) Will this game run on an iPhone 4?

2.) As far as i understood there's only one large dungeon which you can exit to buy items, etc.
Or is it like an open world environment consisting of wilderness expanses, dungeons, cities, towns, fortresses and villages?

I've been stuck a couple times, unsure where to go or what to do. But before I used all my mattocks, I ended up going to gamefaqs. And sure enough, the walk through for the original Gameboy version has matched this one so far. I totally recommend it if you're getting stuck anywhere. I'm just trying not to read too far ahead and only what to do next!

Yeah game faqs helped but now I'm so stuck it can't help haha
I'm in the manor and I am out of mattocks okay I will just leave and get some nope I'm locked in!! Screwed cuz I keep going in circles and can't seem to get back to a place I was looking for but guess it wouldn't matter cuz I need a mattocks to break a pot to move on.
In times like this I grind to level up until the answer comes to me and I'm hoping maybe a treasure chest will pop up with a mattocks. what does Lumpsys Pillow do?

Like I wrote earlier: Some enemies drop keys, other mattocks. The later will be dropped by these slimey worms you encounter in one room with a stair. The skeletons drop keys.

I keep running out of inventory space, so I used a pillow to see what it does. But there weren't any enemies in the room. It released a bunch of lambs and then disappeared. Maybe it clears a room's enemies? Got another one right after I used that. So, I'll try it again soon.

Hit the icon in the bottom left of the inventory screen (magnifying class) to activate help mode, then tap on any item to get a description of what it does. It's not very convenient to use imo (tapping back and fourth) but it gets the job done. The lamb pillow makes nearby enemies fall asleep but it doesn't work on every enemy. I tried it on those metal frankenstein type guys in the manor and they didn't fall asleep.

Wait till you get to the desert and habe to "remember the 8". Got me stuck on the Game Boy for a year till someone told me I had to go around some palm trees in an oasis

Any question to the game I can answer. Played Final Fantasy Adventure till level 99. Bummer that they changed my favorite grinding spot.

OK, assuming price isn't a factor: Ys Chronicles or Adventures of Mana?

Or are they so different that the question is redundant?

I have been play the game for like 3 hours game time now, wander why am I only have warrior class? Was planning to play wizard class, this made me kind of disappointed. Overall the game seems to be frustrating and bosses are too easy, which don't need take much skill to kill at all. To be honest I am Not sure how good it's gona be later on, but I am not so happy with game so far.

You don't pick a class for duration of the game class is only assigning your level up points and advise using all classes often the sage increases your limit break
Don't worry difficulty will come and you will regret saying that :) also some of the difficulty will come from figuring out where to go next etc trust me it won't be super easy forever

Now I'm loving this game even more hearing that. Luckily w a walkthrough I shouldn't get stuck that long but I will only look at that once being stuck a very long time cuz I want to enjoy the game. How many hours play is in this game? Sucks about the grinding spot I love that about RPGs but a lot of gamers today whine about it.

The pillows make enemies sleep. There's a magnifying glass icon that described items in the menu.

Find the broken bridge, jump over to the desert and search west for an area full of palms. Up north is the city of Jadd

Answering the question "how many hours has the game": Deoends on your play style. Level 99 seems easier to get in this version, I'm getting the feeling that leveling was made a little bit faster. I'm nearly 3 hours in and I just left the desert a few minutes ago. Soaking in that nostalgia feeling. Let's say: Things get even better when you get the chocobo upgrade ;)
