Heh, no. You revisit the same areas over and over and it gives the illusion it's bigger than it actually is. The production values are decent but no where near what they'd be on a console.
I disagree, it definitely is a console experience. There are many popular console games and RPGs that use repeat dungeons and all video games don't follow the same design. And there are quite a bit of unique areas in CR3 that I wouldn't even call it repetitive. You most of the time return to old areas to do side quests. Majority of the story goes into each new area. Also, the Persona series (one of my favorite game series) are massive games, not really comparable with CR3 but they use repeat dungeons that look pretty bland compared to CR3 and that doesn't bother most people. There's way more area repetition in Persona than there is in CR3. And 3/4 received some of the best ratings for video games on the PS2.
Is Game Center also supported? Just asking lol. The game shows up on my local app store (PH) with no description, just the icon and the price
Hey Ed! I just downloaded it and haven't tried if the achievements are working but they do show up in game center. 900 points total with 36 achievements. Or did you mean if there's multiplayer / game center saving?
Observations . Controls are fantastic, very simple and accurate. Probably helps that the original version of this game had an arrow pad, a a, b, select, start and that was it. . Graphics are better than I expected. Those calling for pixel graphics should remember that this games original graphics were on the original game boy on a green tinted screen that made the original nes look like a super computer in comparison heh. Worth ever damn penny
I like the brand squarenix it reminds me of the brand apple.. Anything with the brand people will buy no matter the cost.
I remember playing this back in the day on game boy. There were game breaking bugs where you could run out of keys in specific areas and that was it, you were stuck and had to reset. At $20, definitely waiting for impressions!!!
Again, does anyone know if this title supports MFi controller? Definitely on my watch list as well as the upcoming FFIX
So this is Seiken Densetsu 1, and secret of mana was SD2. I remember playing SD3 on a rom with emulator years and years ago, it was awesome. Hopefully they port that too one day. Shaun you have prob played that at one point I assume.

Am I being over-optimistic in hoping this works on my 1st gen iPad Mini? There aren't any specific devices mentioned in the blurb, but I don't want to spend £10.49 only to find my antiquated iPad can't handle the game!

Well all the screenshots in the App store show it as portrait mode. Bad marketing then. If its landscape then its a buy for me. Thanks for clarifying.
Brothers - does this require GC to work? I got a GC bug so can't lod games that need GC to work. Appreciate if someone can confirm!
