upgrading the experience bonuses with stars. when I started out in betatesting, I would play pretty actively one day, then next two days just log back in to keep training bonuses and do treasure hunts.. able to upgrade pretty quickly that way... remembering in beta we couldnt buy diamonds so had to purely beat it with just ad supported stuff and time. I personally think that is the way to approach Adventure Company... its a slow burner in scope. You CAN play it hardcore hours, trying all the combos of heroes and weapons, replaying missions or do short burst sessions spread out over a few days. I found more enjoyment that way.
Is the iap for gems + no ads suppose to take away the ads from the 4x/training sessions or the free 5 gems every hour? Or it was just the ads that would play every once in a while?
Foursaken, I think this game would benefit from a New Game+ as well, similar to Heroes & Castles II. I get that I'm way ahead of other gamers as a beta tester, but definitely something to consider if the game does well... Endless is fun, but it'd be great to go back through the first levels again with some higher leveled enemies as well, like how Endless difficulty ramps up... Just a thought!
The goblins (green) guys have one extra speed bonus. The Black Helmet guys have one extra defense. I'm not far enough to compare if there are other races, but those are the ones I've seen so far. Just saw a skeleton guy and he seems to have one extra defense as well. Oh yeah, Mushroom heads have 1 extra HP.
Haven't seen this reported, but there is some sort of glitch/memory leak with the bonus "bomb dodge" missions. After I run one of those, have to kill the app and re-launch because the over world map and interface is reduced to single number of frames per second. Happens on both mine and my son's installs on two different iPad mini 2s running 8.X (whatever final iOS 8 version was).
@Forsaken Media : Really enjoy playing your game, are you considering adding Achievements that would add some replay value to this already great game !
Because reasons, I had to wipe the game and reinstall immediately after buying the $1.99 combo special. That apparently lost everything. While I'm not too bugged by the loss of the currency and extra fighters, I did kind of expect the ad free to be restorable as in most other games. Is this not the case? If not, kind of an oversight not to say that losing your data also restores ads. Edit: I'm also not at all clear on the restore local data bit. It just prompts for a random password?
How does one get 30 apples in 45 seconds. I've tried that quest so many times now but to no avail. I always have 6-10 more to go.
Bring a farmer or two. The apples from the trees they plant count towards the total in addition to healing your health.
Also an apprentice with the Mana Charge skill to restore 10 MP is helpful, so the farmers can plant more trees. Edit: Now I'm completely stuck on the Cactus Commune level in the desert. The spikes OHKO all my guys, even with like 6 DEF and 31 HP.. is that supposed to be like that? In other levels they take 1-2 damage max. Any tips?
Yes it's supposed to be that way. It's called "one-hit" kill. Best way to win is to bring in one agile fighter, which can dodge the spikes.
My tip is: look at the stats. The more a hero costs, the better it is in one or the other way. Sometimes a hero has one more stat point in DEF, DMG, etc. or he simply has more experience (more stars, higher rank)
This game is interesting bc you can't rush everything in one day (without cheating) . A reason for this is gems and gold (not so much gold though). gems can only be obtained in great multitudes every 12 hours or bonus missions every couple hours for free. (I'm positive about this at the beginning at the game not so sure about after but still) You can also replay each level for a bit of gold and trophies but usually not much. I find this a bit annoying bc I like this game a lot and would play all day if I could. I think that the heroes should cost less when upgrading (up to 80 gems per character per upgrade ) It heavily reduces the amount of game time it gets and it urges me to cheat. Hopefully the devs understand.
I'd suggest an agile fighter with ranged attacks. One annoying thing with those cacti is that they tend to reflect any damage done to them if you're close enough, which is kind of disadvantageous for any melee fighter with low defense, save spearmen. My personal recommendation for that level would be a single crossbowman who's fast on his feet (and preferably fast reload).
Some levels only appear after getting all the stars on another level. Tree town is off of undead grove (get all 3 stars). ---- I'm having trouble remembering the branches in the job tree to figure out which ones I'm missing. Is there a reference job "map" in existence anywhere? Or if not that, a checklist?
Any tips to defeat the boss on the Monster Forest level. I've tried so many times with no luck. Seems he just has unlimited health.
