Another BUG ? When opening the game in the introductory main screen you see the logo of the game. Behind that just before the game starts so that you can see the map a window pops up but it is behind the logo "Adventure Company". I am guessing that the pop up window is about downloading the latest i cloud save if you have played in different device (like me). But of course you can not click yes or no. Of course you can go to settings and download i cloud save manually so i would not call it a bug exactly. This happens if you have icloud turned to automatic.
Same thing's happening to me too. Every time I try to look at an ad for more recruits, the game crashes (it actually crashes every time I watch the ad). I don't want to risk reinstalling as I already paid for gems. Please fix this bug in the next patch!
I think when the game can't find an ads for you to watch (must be limited) and then the game crash. Just play for few hour or do something else and then when you come back, you can watch the new ads
I'm really enjoying the game - it's something I can play in either short 5 minute bursts or an hour long session, the classes are interesting, and the battle mechanics are fun. Regarding the freemium concerns that some have raised, I don't see this as an issue with this game. The gems are extremely easy to obtain, and not in a "easy for the first two hours and then they dry up" sort of way. It is very, very easy to play this game without ever paying a dime should you choose - I haven't seen a wall and at this point I'm confident that one doesn't exist. One tip that people may find useful (and not immediately obvious) - after you promote a character, they can freely switch back and forth between the lower classes. For example, a Monk would be able to freely switch between a Trainee, Farmer, Lumberjack, Brawler, and back to Monk. If you want to have at least one of every class, you only need to hire 27 individuals, not 60.
Also helpful for Collect X amount of apples levels, to "demote" to a farmer or two join your company for those waves..
Liking the game a lot as usual with FM releases, the only thing thats bothering me is that I purchased the inital pack with 250 gems and the tutorial wants me to spend 60 gems on it, yesterday I waited the 3 hours but then it just restarted the tutorial and asked me to rush it. Tried antoher approach and just spent all my gems on a recruit (not my plan really) just to see if I could rush it for free (as it is a tutorial) but it wants me to either watch vids to gain the gems or purchase more. Im pretty sure I will buy more gems but the things is I dont want to spend them to rush training, that is something that I'll do on the long times I cant actually play the game. Is there any workaround? Congrats for another excelent release FM!
of course but you have to do it manually push/pull from icloud. It is in the games settings very easy to do.
Is there a way to control the orientation of the game after I've locked orientation on the device? Most games will remember which orientation I've locked the game at when I return to it, but this one insists on locking the orientation such that the audio is on my left hand which essentially mutes the game as my left hand will be covering the speakers. This is on an apple device.
A good way to grind for gold is to hit up First Ruins with a wizard and a thief/pickpocket. You just keep on hitting gobs for 15 gold each, and whenever your mana starts to get low, switch over to the wizard and increase the mana pool. I make a thousand in a few minutes this way.
I didn't figure this out until I hit the desert, and then it was a godsend: click on the monsters at the beginning of a level deployment, and it'll give you useful information about them. In particular, whether they have high DEF or EDEF, immunities, etc. I was getting slaughtered by the snails/jellies/cacti levels until I realized that snails are immune to melee attacks and jellies are immune to ranged attacks. Make sure you deploy the right crew for each level. Collection levels go well with fast characters: thieves, archers/wizards, and then fill in the rest of the 10 slots with really low level characters you've not leveled yet. Survival levels need at least one or two cure characters: farmer, healer, priests, etc. Try to follow the pack and keep them topped off. Defend location levels can use one healer, a lot of ranged fighters (both magic and bow), and one or two sturdy defenders. I just beat the Goliath golem boss under the time limit! MVP was my trapper with his poison trap. The Titan will follow whomever you're in control of, so you can just lead him around, dropping traps every 10 steps. Overall, I'm enjoying the game; after you develop several characters, the strategy pops up nicely.
Level up the pickpocket and his/her steal will take up to 25 gold! Might be worth grinding them up before you do even more farming.
In regard to the Training Bug, where you have to spend 60 gems to move on.. Yes it sucks, but I found a cool exploit.. It works like this.. You have your guy in training, you use the gold provided to you via the tutorial to max the 'training boost', then instead of finishing it with the 60 gems, you just let the 3 hour clock run out.. Do that 1 more time on the same character until he is a maxed five star. THEN spend the 60 gems to finish it out.. Now you have a five star character, that cost you 60 gems (forced via the bug), 6 hours training, and all the gold was provided for free via the tutorial. So really it's not that big of a deal (or a game changer), it just gives you a bit more bang for your buck since you are already forced to part ways with 60 gems via the bug.
I encountered the same bug where i didn't receive the 60 gems in the tutorial after buying some gems in the shop.
Question: what difference do the different species make? It seems that the more alien looking ones cost more, but is there anything more than an aesthetic difference between them?
