I'll think of it as a single player game full of friggin cute penguins. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #5 Zeillusion, Mar 19, 2014 I beta tested this: it's an awesome platformer. Visuals are great & controls are spot on. It actually gets quite challenging later on Mr. Grizzly Well-Known Member May 20, 2011 1,407 0 36 #6 Mr. Grizzly, Mar 19, 2014 Saw the trailer for this yesterday and it looks really great - and quite challenging the further you get into it. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #7 sugimulm, Mar 19, 2014 Any idea on price? But worry not, its amazing and I already finished it once while in beta. If anyone remembers that one, and liked it - or wanted to check it out - you should snag this one. There's not as many options for swipe control (movement - you can not swipe forward to go faster, or tap to stop or anything like that, you can jump, slide and dive - but they're put together very well), but the level designs are great and with the star objectives you'll need to replay stages over and over again to get 3 stars (you only get one objective - and therefor one star - each time you play through a stage). The IAP seems to be just for cosmetic items, and there's only one currency (gems are turned into coins automatically - they are not kept) - so for anyone worried about the IAP, don't be. TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #12 TheFrost, Mar 19, 2014 I finished the game once while in beta and I agree. Level design and replayability is though the roof here. Do not worry about IAP at all, its purely cosmetic. Nice to see you enjoying this one too syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #13 syntheticvoid, Mar 19, 2014 Yeah, I really am. I think this might just be my next little obsession. =oP And you're right, replayability is through the roof. The more I play, the more I'm seeing, and it's just incredible that this game is free. I already have unlocked a lot of costumes and the game is extremely fair with currency, cant understand it either... I really like how this game handles replayability too... remembering the items you collected -except the BONUS letters that are needed to be collected in a single run- so you can explore the rest of the level. Feels a lot like Polara. I also like that you have a lot of penguins that you can even rename -I already have Team Frost customized and they look awesome- and having one killed does not punish you, in fact it sometimes necessary to advance. Then there are the black cubes to access the end, the bonus harder levels that gives you a reward, the boxes that are everywhere and they give you either 50 or 150 coins, or pieces of gear, the level design (yes, worth mentioning again) is a good as the game looks, and that says a lot since its gorgeous, the different moves you can perform are perfectly adapted to the game, its just plain fun to play the game. Its a pure joy to me. Again, I have to clue why this game is free... eventually you will get most of the items collected, its incredible fair with coins, no double currency or stuff like that, you have up to 8 penguins to finish a level (at some point later in the game), never seen a revive either (but I heard about them). Its hard to understand. Being free, the is no reason at all to skip it. Its amazing and its free... TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #17 TheFrost, Mar 19, 2014 No, no coin doubler. There are IAP packs from 2 to 10$ that gives you... coins. I don't know how developers are going to earn money with this one unless someone want to solely support them (I will). killercow Well-Known Member Apr 8, 2009 3,784 3 38 https://twitter.com/killercow #18 killercow, Mar 19, 2014 Yeah and the rate at which you get money (for cosmetic stuff) is already insane for a F2P so it's not even needed at all. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #19 sugimulm, Mar 19, 2014 Thanks Frost and Void, now the painful part of waiting TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #20 TheFrost, Mar 19, 2014 Yeah I tend to forget its free to play when I am playing it...
