this game looks very good on 2x mode and so far so good... very fun and it reminds me a lot of Atelier Rorona :D

Given how poorly that game was received in the US, I'm not sure that's a plus. But opinions were certainly all over the map.

US doesn't cope well with most JRPG's... Rorona's failure is due to a game in which there was a LOT os resource gathering, alchemy(item creation), and combat abilities that depended on how well you could create items(and for this you needed to explore a lot and search for items in order to make your equips)...

Name me 1 JRPG outside of FF, that managed to get positive reviews or generate some Buzz... All i can think of are Western RPG's like Mass Effect 2-3, Dragon Age, Fallout 3-NV and Skyrim...

EVEN Tales of Vesperia(damn awesome game) failed to impress sales-wise since it was sold on a console that, isn't known to sell jrpg's..

in US, if it's not Final Fantasy, the JRPG in question will most likely fail...

that being said, if you like turn based rpg's, resource gathering, item creation(in this case, cooking) and graphics that look like a SNES/GBA game, then check this game out... if anything JRPG or anything that i said, doesn't appeal to you, i can't really recommend this game to you

Also some issues with the theme, of course, which this game presumably does not share.

    Seriously!?

I couldn't quite grasp if that was sarcasm or not.

Eeyup. No grinding needed to level up.

No, I wasn't sure if he really thought that this was the best game ever.

That is pretty neat that you don't need to grind to level up. I wonder if I'll miss it. I'm going to try and play about 15 minutes before I call it a night.

I like the genre and there's some fresh ideas here, but it got boring fast.
Lasted about 25 minutes and just lost it's appeal with me.

i just played for 4 hours straight too. having lots of fun. can't believe this was only a buck. looks great in 2x mode too. on the ipad the controls are responsive, but it seems the d-pad is just slightly too far in, kinda makes it uncomfortable after long periods. i know there are other control types, but this is my only gripe.

    loving it. great game!!

omg, this game is really good! perfect blend between two genres.

I just can't believe I've only payed a buck for it - we robbed the developers!
I think I'll do a little IAP to support them a bit more, they surely need it. :)
    What about you, folks? ;)

Great game! I can't put my finger on what exactly reminds me on Disgaea in this game, but I love it!

The only thing missing here is some kind of little feedback while using one of the Touch Control to see exactly where we touched.
