SERIOUSLY, someone lock this thread, its just annoying now. Blah blah she shouldn't have posted that on a forum blah blah quit flaming and get over it..
Are you calling me a whore? I pay for my games and once in awhile use promo codes like others do. No, I was not disrespecting my sister. When you suddenly become perfect and God then you can judge
Hard to believe, but I do agree with you on this one. [you`re the one from mummy`s revenge thread, right?] @Candy. Just leave it there. No point going over the same argument again. You yourself realize now that it wasnt the best of the decisions to post about your sis on a gaming forum. No point stretching it anymore.
You don't understand that it's not your job to judge anyone. You are not perfect, you are not God. Don't bring a bag of bricks down on me. Saying I'm a "whore" for getting promo codes is silly. That made me laugh.
Some people do care. And people should care... if they don't, they shouldn't post about the topic. It's just being cruel... I don't know what exactly happened here. But if someone posted about a family member dying... and others disrespected that post... that is just low... I've been on plenty of forums and people know what line not to cross... teens or not... And people post personal things on forums all the time... this is the lounge section after all... I've seen other personal posts here...
Although the Lounge is a place where issues unrelated to gaming can be discussed, I think it's important to keep in mind that the same members who make childish comments in other parts of the forums are also going to post here--regardless of how serious the subject matter is. Considering that the majority of people who post frequently are probably adolescent boys, I think it's to be expected that they will post insensitive comments, as well as pictures that only an adolescent boy would find amusing. To expect a mature response from an emotionally immature individual is asking for more than they can actually offer. The best case scenario is that they would refrain from posting, but that doesn't usually happen because I do not think they have the insight to do that. Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised, though. In this thread-- http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=34257 -- there are a lot of good responses to the poster's situation. There are several immature responses as well (from the usual suspects.) But, for the most part, people seem like they are genuinely concerned about a fellow gamer/real human being. When people post about a serious subject, I usually try to respond with something helpful...but, then again, I am not a 13-year-old boy. When people do respond in a supportive way it's nice...but it's also the exception to the rule. You can't ask for more than people are able to give.
