Alright so I've recently started using Adium, I don't like its e-mail notifications because they stay there, so I'm using Growl's, but it seems I can't use Growl's without enabling 'check for mail' in Adium's preferences, which means I'm getting both Adium + Growl notifications. Any way to only have Growl's?
yea go to the popertys in adium and there is a part of the settings menu where you can choose what happens at every task find recive mail and delete adium's popup and leave growl's sorry not on my mac so i don't have exact steps but this is probably possible because i know you can control almost every event in adium never used email notification tho.
I think I already tried what you're talking about, I went to Events, and chose 'display Growl notification' for new e-mails. But it only works if under Accounts > my e-mail, I have 'check for new mail' chosen, I don't get new Growl notifications if it isn't checked. That's what's so annoying.
