Well, the simplest of softwares can indeed hide awful memory leaks. You just forget to deal with some dynamically allocated memory and it can add up amazingly fast. Of course I am not saying this is the case here. Although I sometimes wondered if the occasional crashes I get in AS2 might be due to something like that; the randomness of the moments in which they occur would lead to that direction.

The random crashes that occurs after some matches should be fixed with 1.1 version.
The problem was the memory allocation of the app, in previous version I underestimated that memory allocation in order to let older devices (with 256 mb of ram) to run the game.
With 1.1 I increased the memory limit so the random crashes should be (hopefully) fixed.
Of course this means now 256 mb ram devices cannot handle more then 3-4 matches in a row but after all I need to focus first on new devices.

-Would be great to have the ref, linesmen and the manager on the Pitch, would add so much to the game.
-a 5vs5 mode (futsal) on smaller pitch
-an option to search players by nationality
    -transfer edit option
    -shirt's editor
-creat your team option (yes I want to creat my own team)
-Goal line Technology.... Just kidding ^^
-Different stadium (maybe one with the track and field and one very small with less fans)
-the vanishing spray... Oh no sorry just joking :p
-better corners (I find it hard to center)

    Those are just ideas

I'd like to see more varied celebrations when you score goals (and after matches), and also to be able to switch my saved game between devices. I realise that this may be tricky to do, but it would be really handy since I have the game on Android, iPad Air and PC! :D!

Edit: Also, it would be great to be able to send and receive Loan players, and maybe take players on trial like on SWOS?

Then the slowdowns which eventuated in freezes might have been that because I left it at 30 fps and so far it's ok.

    Thanks for the explanation.
As for new features, I would like to have additional buttons for easier navigation when you look for potential players to buy.
Let me explain, when I "go shopping" for players (not the ones in the transfers list) I choose nation, league, team. Sometimes I see the details of a player, and then I would like to check out some other players of his team, but if I press "back" I go all the way back to the beginning of the search. So an additional button to go back of only one level at a time (team->league->nation) would be appreciated.

I think I've found a way of scoring most times. If you dribble your player down the wing, then cut inside and dribble along the goal line (maybe 6 yards outside), the keeper will rush out and you can just pass it across to your striker who will have an open goal. I've scored a lot of goals this way, so it'd be great if you could make the defenders a bit more aggressive to prevent this from happening? :)

could you please share a youtube video of this kind of goal?

Yep - used that a few times! Also stealing the ball from them from their kick off if very easy...

I score most of my goals this way too. Unfortunately, I rarely score. The game is just a little too difficult for my taste. I am often relieved of the ball when I cut quickly and the defender cuts almost faster than me, unlike in real life. And one of my favorite club's home shirts are from years ago. So, it's a struggle for me to push through when I usually lose anyway.

I'd love to see a video of many types of goal scoring possibilities. It might help me overcome whatever it is that holds me back from scoring more.

Better AI!!! Seems like all computer controlled players play too similarly, eg: Computer never attacks via wings, always through the middle; almost all passes are ground passes; almost all goals scored from ground shots... Etc...

My conclusion is that computer doesnt play to 'his player'' strength, eg if there are tall players in a squad you would expect computer to try to center the ball and hit his marksman etc... If there are lots of good passers then you'd expect tiki taka style etc...

Is it possible to put more variety (perhaps team specific) AI algorithms!?

From other things - i'd like to be able to press 'B' to manually execute a tackle to try to steal a ball. The way it works now (ie autotackle) is ok but allowing a manual tackle would give more options when defending.

I don't understand what you would want that button to do.

If you are in a position (arrived at manually) to take the ball, you can just take it by touching it. Pressing B in this position will play a first-time pass.

Edit: perhaps you mean a standing legs-spread tackle like the double tap one on PES.

Yes exactly like in PES double tap. Right now if i approach attacker from behind he will try to auto tackle and usually not be able to take the ball leaving attacker to easy move towards my goal. With manual tackle perhaps i could run with the attacker until i think it's better opportunity to tackle than what autotackle does at the moment.

Ok. You can't really take the ball from behind here though. Just foul. Which you can already do manually if you want. So I'm not sure what it would add. To get the ball it's very realistic imo, you actually have to get ball side/switch control to someone who is ball side (by pressing the direction they would move to go towards the ball, rather than continuing to chase from behind).

What I mean is, in AS2 the ball runs completely free. It's not constrained like it is in PES, where you can run 'through' the ball. In AS2 if you can put yourself in a position to touch the ball you can just take it. So I'm not convinced it needs the extra function. Defending is tricky but if you anticipate the attacker's movement and get to the ball first, you can just take it, and it's very solid and realistic in that way imo

Yep, here you go - sorry the quality isn't very good!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji8uXR54Ehg

I score this kind of goal fairly often, usually by just running down the wing then cutting inside around 6 yards from the goal line. When you approach the goal the keeper will run out to meet you and you can pass it to your centre forward who will have an open goal. It doesn't always work, of course, and it probably depends on how quick your players are and how well they pass/find space, but it does work for me fairly regularly.

I guess it's just the nature of the beast really; if you keep trying to score a certain way over and over, eventually one of them will go in. Any AI isn't completely watertight, and if it was the game wouldn't be fun.

AS2 is the best footie game on iOS by a mile imho, and the fact that the devs are so engaged with the community really is the icing on the cake.
