Yeah so true.

Even kickoff and swos at theor time were not best looking games out there. And to day both are being played hard core around the world...

The problem is that review sites dont really have an incentive to do a proper reviews these days.

For a site like pocket gamer to say 'Active Soccer 2 represents an improvement over the first game, despite addressing few, if any, of the original's faults.'- is a disgrace. A) it is not a true statement; B) the sentance makes absolutely no sense and contradicts itself; C) i expected much much more from PG.

Just tried a game with the Stratus XL. Quite a difference from using touch controls. Ended up with England 8 – 0 Germany. (102 shots from England—83 on target!) Time to move up a skill level, I guess.

 

How many minutes was that game? 45?

 

today its all about flashy menu screens and pops and whistles but you know what i could care less about that I just want to play a good game.

Yes.. i had to decide if upgrade my Stratus (little) that i keep in my bag with a Stratus XL or Mad catz CTRLi for using at home.

Such feature for example was not implemented in AS1

 

I'm playing in Career Mode and I just finished the 1st season.

I got kind of disappointed, because I won the English Cup and the Conf League, and I was expecting a cash prize but there was nothing, just a line in the Achievements section. I was expecting to buy a new good player with that money.

Gianluca, why didn't you decide to add a cash prize when winning competitions?

I don't pretend that this game should be like Sensible Soccer or Player Manager for the Amiga, but I think it would be nice to have that.

Can I suggest a change to English competition rules?

Currently 1-3 in the Championship are promoted, but in real life, it's 1-2, and 3-6 go into a playoff tournament (3 vs 6, 4 vs 5) for the final spot.

Also, in reality, the winners of the English FA Cup get a spot in the Europa League. Perhaps in-game 5 and 6 in the Premier League should get a spot, and the third goes to:

English Cup winner, if they finished below 6th in the league
Cup runner-up, if they finished below 6th in the league
7th placed team in the league, if both finalists qualified already

Ci sono però alcuni problemini che ti volevo segnalare:
1) Uso iPhone 6 Plus e nel tutorial le scritte che dicono cosa fare si sovrappongono fino a diventare confusissime. Inoltre i pulsanti vengono chiamati 1 e 2 e non A e B così come appaiono in gioco.
2) provando la modalità online ho molta difficoltà nel trovare avversari.

Puoi aiutarmi e darmi delle indicazioni in merito? Grazie mille!

Ah.. ho trovato un bug anche io: con il controller MFI il replay non è controllabile (bisogna usare il touch per uscire)
Altra cosa: hai provato l'air play o l'uscita tv dell'ipad? Funziona bene il gioco su schermo esterno?

ENG:
Bug: If you use an MFI controller you cannot control replay and exit from replay without touch the screen.
Another things: have you tested your game on external screen via airplay or lightinging-hdmi cable?

(sorry for double language but i'm very sure about my italian and not so sure about my english.. english version is necessary to permit to other guy in the forum to understand my question)

 

Gianluca why there are no UEFA CL and EL qualification stage ? When I choose a team it is either in the group stages already or out of competition ....

And yes , cash price is vital .. You can set 10-15 mio € prize for entering CL group stages just like in real life etc....

And one big problem , the shooting is a joke , players don't shoot in the direction I want , it set randomly , I should maximally approach to GK in order to score a goal , otherwise players miss in 90-% of attempts , long shots are useless ...

 

I mean , even if I set right direction , it doesn't shoot that way ...it doesn't shoot according to d pad ...
