So I went to go buy an iphone4s the other day and they asked me for the social security of my at&t account. Not having it, I was unable to purchase the phone...that is unless I bought it device only. My question is, can I purchase the 4s device only, pop in the sim from my iphone 4, and activate it?
It will be 20x more expensive if you do it that way. If you have the 4, my guess is you are not eligible for an upgrade anyway so your gonna have to pay the full price for the phone. Now the sim will work from 4 to 4S but att needs to change some stuff in order to activate the 4s on the 4's SIM card.
