The graphics look fantastic, the joysticks are a joy and the heroes are plentiful. They have OFFLINE mode, 1V1, 2V2, 3V3 with a jungle with minions. There are skins etc. I never got into Vainglory and was bored with the 1 map but Ace of Arenas is fun for me. J ust my first impressions. I wish vainglory had these controls. HealingDanish New Member Jul 21, 2015 1 0 0 #11 HealingDanish, Jul 21, 2015 Hey Folks, My name is HealingDanish, Im the community manager for Ace of Arenas. Having only recently soft launched in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, we are absolutely thrilled to have TouchArcade writing about and streaming our game. After watching the livestream on MobCrush and reading the comments on the Article and in the forums, we wanted to address some of the questions you all might have about Ace of Arenas. Just as it was mentioned in the TouchArcade livestream on MobCrush, Ace of Arenas features a dual currency system. There are: Coins (the yellow currency) - earned solely through playing against human opponents and Login Rewards Diamonds (the blue currency) - obtained through Login Rewards, and through in-game and social media events. While there are a lot of things to buy in Ace of Arenas, the majority of them (such as champions and gems) can be purchased with Coins, which means that they can be earned simply by playing the game. For obtaining higher level gems, we do have a system that allows you to combine lower level gems into higher level ones, allowing all players to be able to reach the upper tiers of building their character. Ace of Arenas also features a talent system that allows players to go deeper into the strategy behind building a character. The Talent Stones needed to unlock each rank can only be obtained by playing matches with that particular champion. (For those of you playing the game, this menu can be found by tapping the bracket icon above the crown icon in the main menu.) Weve also implemented multiple win condition for 1vsBot, 1vs1, 2vs2 modes. Players are able to win by scoring enough enemy champion kills, scoring enough minion kills, or by destroying the enemys core in the classic MOBA fashion. In the MobCrush livestream, we saw that Eric won against the bot by achieving the required 6 champion kills. The intention behind this was to keep the duration of battles to a more manageable timeframe. The only win condition for 3vs3 matches, however, is to destroy the enemys core. Weve also noticed a few comments have pointed out some similarities between Ace of Arenas and other MOBAs. Our designers have pulled inspiration from a lot of places and MOBAs as a genre have some basic foundations that can be similar to one another (base to defend, champions, minions, equipment stores, etc) so its only natural that there might be some overlap. Were all huge MOBA fans and we truly admire the beauty of games like League of Legends and Vainglory. If you all have any other questions about Ace of Arenas, we would be happy to answer them!
