I just noticed at the end of the first case Mia and Phoenix kept referring to Larry and Harry. I assume this is a typo right? Made it so confusing.
Yes, no german translation either, although a german version exists and is quite good tbh. I do understand the text of course, but would still prefer to play in german. Oh well, maybe they will fix this with an update, let´s see. While this is no huge deal breaker, it´s still annoying.
I have no issues running it on my 4g. Looks much better than the first game standalone or gameboy releases.
you don't need save files, because you pick which part of the case you want to play. It is essentially the same thing, as the breakoff points are where savepoints would be. This is even better than savefiles.

Before I buy all 3 how many cases and how long roughly to beat 3 17 bucks is a lot to drop on a iOS title so I want to make sure I know what I'm buying. I like the game a lot tho as you get the 2 free episodes to try.
I've finished the first game in the past and I remember it took me about 12 hours. Times that by 3 and you get a lot of gaming for your buck Plus to buy the DS versions is not only difficult because they're quite rare, but you'd never snag all 3 for 17 dollars!
The only other way to get all three easily is on WiiWare, and each one costs 10 bucks each! (not to mention, unlike in this trilogy, the first one doesn't have the extra fifth case - you have to pay extra)
Bear in mind that these games were originally at a much lower resolution. The games are text heavy, so if they had just blown up the text it would have been awful, but it looks like they did a good job with that. Much more important to me than being iPad optimized, which would have required all new art, probably.
Since there isn't multiple saves and my gf wants to play too, can we complete a case then just choose the case we want to play or will the effect the choices in the story I'm not sure if they carry over case to case.
The games have all-new art, though; that was the entire point of the HD re-release; everything, including the text, was to be redrawn from scratch to take advantage of the newer hardware and bigger/higher-res screens the trilogy was going to be played on. The folks at Capcom weren't just poking at the old low-res art assets in order to clean up the text and antialias the pixels a bit. There's no compelling reason why this "universal" app should have ended up hardcoded to play in iPhone 2x mode on an iPad instead of full-screen when the artwork for the HD collection was being deliberately redesigned at "Retina quality" for iPhones and iPads.
