The beginning of lost was great the middle of the series really dragged (they were milking the plot and too many fillers) and when the last 2 seasons were great because they cut down the eps to prevent fillers. Will be looking forward to the new season. I don't think there will ever be another show hyped up like LOST for a long time, if not ever.
When I realized after the 5th or so episode that I was gonna have to wait like 6 or 7 seasons/years to watch the whole thing, I stopped watching. I'll wait until the series is finished, then I'll watch it all in one big weekend sitting.
Too late. Part of the Lost experience was the waiting and hair pulling. Plus you know, talking to people about it the day after each episode airs etc etc. I Will miss lost. sooo much.
Hair pulling for one season is fine. Hair pulling for however many years this show has been out is just too much for me.
My Damn TV just started acting up last night... WHY!?!?!?!?! On all of the nights tonight its broken!?! FML!
Great series. One of my favorite shows ever. Best series ever? No. The Wire, Oz, etc. from back in HBO's salad days in the late '90s/early '00s was home to a killer line up of shows. Best series currently? No (that award, IMHO, goes to either Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy). That said, I still love me some Lost. And it isn't even due to the reasons that most people dig the show. It isn't about the mystery for me, even though that's a big component of the fun. No...it's about the characters. These characters are incredibly fleshed out to a level that even most shows that supposedly center on character based stories barely ever touch. It's a testament to the talent of the writing staff and cast. I honestly kinda stopped caring so much about the overall island mystery and keep watching to see what changes the characters on the show will go through next, or what hidden aspect of their characters (which are hinted at from time to time in very subtle ways) will shine through and breach the surface.
