@sammysin Thank you so much for the compliments! Well yeah, we actually recreated a gameplay that would merge the best part of the most famous side scroll platformer games. Basically you will kill a lot of time playing this game; killing enemies is fun as trying to avoiding them during the run. I will provide here some promo codes so stay in touch! Try it! @Ecko7123 There are various future plans for this game, so we will choose what the gamers wants more! The iPad version is a possible next updates! @K7A7O7S Release date? Unfortunely iTunes doesn't tell you how much Apple Guys needs to test your game so...we need to wait and hope it will be approved soon!
the trailer seems wow nice..but o wonder is there any other extra gameplay or even any extras than running and chasing that cat?
Good to know it. I bought the first volume of the comic yesterday, and it's very good. I'm not really interested in a platformer but I'll keep my eyes open for any future project. Good work!
My 7 year old son loves skeletons and has been drawing them since he was 3. I showed him your game trailer and joked that maybe he does have a future drawing skeletons. He got right to work on it after watching the trailer. Here's your first FAN ART from a 7 year old. Needless to say, he's anxious to get the game (iPad please).
Hahaha! Really cute pictures my friend. Your son is a budding artist for sure (he draws better than me).
After watching the gameplay video, I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. The trailer, well, "teaser" had a scenario and pointed at an adventure or point and click game like Ino stated. The endless platforming chasing a cat and shooting around seems like it'll get old fast But as you said, it's probably more fun to play it than to watch it.
@bebo_beta2002 No, there isn't another game mode but you have two leaderboards: - the highscore, that push yourself in killing the henchmen, jumping the buildings, upgrade your power-up and stuff. - the max level reached, in another leaderboard that let you play for less time trying to complete the highest level you can. @sammysin I think you are one of our greatest fan! Thank you @Ino Personally i think that a good platformer is way addictive more then any "longer game". Look at Doodle Jump, Zombieville, Canabalt or any other "simple" game like these. I think that iPhone gamers likes to play game like that Obviously anyone has his preferences and there isn't the perfect game @webshark3 We're very proud of your son! We think it will be an artist for sure! Thank you so much for this drawings and let's stay in touch with the thread as we will release promo codes when the game will touch the App Store. @silent genius As i said the teaser was our way to show you people what we can do. The point and click game can be a future episode or something like that. For me and all the guys who beta tested the game did this steps 1 - Liked the art 2 - Understand all the feature at the first seconds with the tutorial 3 - After giving some bad words to the cats at the first tries they started playing it for several minutes trying to beat the leaderboards scores Hoping it will be approved soon!
@kflab. Definitely one of your biggest fans. I just love everything about the game so far. Looking forward to seeing this on the Store soon.
I'm with you with this one and I'm pretty sure this game will be enjoable. I for one love games like canabalt, pix'n'love rush, robot unicorn attack and the likes. I just don't think a game JUST like this can capture the charm of the Skeleton Story art and the feeling of the comic book series. I'm not judging the game per se (which would be stupid, having not played it), just the transition from the comic book to the game atmosphere. It seems like a 16bit tie in - of the time when it was impossible to recreate the feeling of the original cartoon-movie in the game for technological reasons, and everything was made into a platformer because of that (toy story is the first that comes to my mind). I see this game as a potential "first level (with enldess replayability)" inside of a more complex game. Like a point and click adventure that spawns into several "little games" (pinball would be a given, as Death loves it!) to keep the experience fresh. As you said there could be more episodes coming, so that's a possibility.
Ever since seeing the teaser I have been totally hooked. Incredible art style and animation and atmosphere and music and everything. I also think a point 'n' click adventure in this style would go very far, so ideally we will see that someday too. Until then, this iteration looks like great fun. Rolling Thunder was one of my favorite games when I was a kid, so playing this looks like a dream come true!! Keep up the good work! I can't wait to buy this!!!
Yes stigmeyer!! I remember Rolling Thunder was a "must have"!! I watching the gameplay, and skeleton story is similiar but the graphics is very great!! I can't wait to buy this!!!
@Ino I understand your position but one of the things that pushed us to do this game is that a point-and-click game is not so appreciated by the iPhone gamers. So for this platform (i mean the iPhone) A Skeleton Story... is born as a casual game like the most appreciated games of the App Store. The next episoded will be other killer casual games as Angry Birds, Minigore, and others "simple games". If we will do a game for xbox, computers or something different then we would adapt to the other platform needs That's the main reason in few words. @Stigmeyer Well consider that you can play Rolling Thunder anytime you want. On the other hand you can't starting a Point-and-click game from the beginning after you finished it once. It is for this reason too that we pointed to this game design PS: Rolling Thunder is awesome! @mr_touch Thank you for the compliments Wish you will enjoy the game @webshark3 Enjoy the comic then: It is superb! ))
Your game looks great, and the video and art you posted are amazing! Are you planning to make some sort of movie like the trailer? I'd definitely see it. Also, does the comic have the same name as the game? I'm thinking of checking it out.
Yes, the comic is called A skeleton story. It's pretty easy to find here, but I don't know if it came out outside of Italy.
@ASB Thank you for your kind comment! Regard the movie it is not in our next plans but it's a possible thing to realize...but very time/money expensive! For the comic the name is the same: "A Skeleton Story..." @Ino Thank you for your comment. Anyway you can find it outside italy. In the site of the game (not published yet) will be available all the info about this comic
