The adventure is what I live for. I leaped onto the platform while rolling down to the right and then quickly catapulted onto a higher mountain to become closer to my goal. I am a Rolando. I wont give up until I reach my goal. I fell down; tumbling to what I thought could be my death. It began to be a race to the end, the time was ticking. I took in a deep breath and focused my eyes. I leaped forward and rolled down the mountain, and fell into a cave, tumbling on platforms dangling over lava, bubbling and intimidating. The heat was getting to me, trickling sweat down my face and fogging up my vision. All the voices in my head started to scream for me to escape but I knew I had to keep pushing forward. I gasped for air; it was becoming harder to breath. I rolled further into the cave, desperately searching for an exit. How much longer could I withstand this heat? I was at the point of screaming. The steam was rising and I felt lightheaded. The steam started to form into moaning ghost figures, taunting me and discouraging me from reaching the exit. There were so many things just trying to push me to my limit. I closed my eyes and took a leap towards the exit. The sweat started to become mixed in with tears. Even though all of these things were occurring to stop me, I wasnt going to lose. I was going to win, and I will be proud. I noticed a mine cart in front of me so I hopped into it, edging forward as I started to glide through the path, the walls rushing past me. The speed was increasing and I felt out of control. The cart turned into a separate path and the dark path hid some surprises for me as I noticed red eyes staring back at me. A web fell down onto my face and I fell off the cart onto the rough rocking dirt. The red eyes started to make screeching sounds as they dove towards me at full speed. They were bats. I faced them with boldness, like the great samurai warrior arn. Like arn, I would not give up in the face of danger. I would be strong and fight back. The wings started to pound the air as I saw the bats about to strike. Before I was bitten and faced my peril, the mine cart came back and slammed the ground beside me, scarring off the bats. I smiled and leapt back into the cart, leaning forward, to push the cart forward, deeper into the cave. Soon I saw an illuminating bright light in the distance. I rolled toward it, as fast as I could go and leaped out onto a jungle-top tree. The grass felt good, wet and calming. It was a weight lifted off my shoulders; the steam had begun to feel heavy. I smiled and bounced onto another near tree-top. Expecting the best, something awful happened. The fear had struck me seconds before the perilous act happened. I opened my mouth in awe as I fell off the tree-top into the ground. I winced in the pain that struck through my body. I was holding in a scream. I didnt feel grass, it was sand. I smiled as I looked up towards the boat. This was the Quest for the Golden Orchid, and I had reached my goal.

Rolando 2 is a major release by ngmoco which is the hit sequel to the original Rolando. Help the adventurous Rolandos make it to the end of the level, completing their goal. There will be puzzles and challenges along the way though, so be prepared. Open the pathway for the boulder to drop onto the switch which triggers the opening of the exit, but let the royalty escape first. Expect some fun rolling Rolando levels!
Rolando 2 has new (2.5D) graphics! It has the perfect soundtrack that you cant ignore as well as the special cut scenes at the beginning of some levels that weve come to love. The game is perfect in game-play style of leaping to a higher platform, and as before, the controls are done spot-on. This game gets a 4.5 out of 5, for the occasional camera zoom issue, which will most likely be fixed in the future.

Possibly the best shooting game this generation for me . The story might be cliche but the attitude is fantastic . The setting is wonderfully disturbing and some stages (like the ruined hotel near the end of the game and what you discover there , the faveles e.t.c) are like a great blend of action and horror , without any supernatural elements of course . The variety of the environments is amazing and the fantastic graphics help .

Rockstar also nailed the gameplay providing the perfect mix of traditional max payne gameplay with gears of war cover mechanics and some COD cinematic action scenes .

All in all one of the best gaming experiences i've had this generation .
