I had an iPad Air for a week which had to be returned because of an issue. I purchased a rMini as a replacement and I've used it for the last 24 hours. Things I like the iPad Air better for: -Web browsing -Typing in landscape mode -Content creation (drawing, coding, photo editing) Things I like the iPad Mini better for: -Gaming since it's easier to hold and reach the virtual controls -Reading Books Overall, I can't say I prefer one device over the other. The iPad Air screen is noticeably more vibrate. It's probably less accurate but it sure looks nice. Even though the rMini has a higher DPI it doesn't look any sharper. It's much easier to hold the rMini not only because it's lighter but it's shorter so it feels more balanced in your hand. In the end it really comes down to personal preference but I can't say one device is superior to the other.
