How do you terraform, for example lava to rocks?

You need a terraform tech, then an icon will appear on bottom left when you tap on a terrain if you can terraform it. Usually cost 1k of something.

The 'Room' thing I was asking about is shown when you tap on an occupied tile. It shows 'Room x' at the bottom of the description of what is on that tile. At the start of a new game, for instance, I tapped on a forest and it says 'Room 3'. Dont get that at all.

Secondly, I was playing the free game. After a couple of hours, I was warned that my planet was starving, then literally seconds later, 'Game Over' before I had time to act. Is this my incompetence rather than the time limit of the free game?

    Thanks

If you run out of food, nearly everyone dies at once. I think it should be changed to either only the overage workers starve and/or there's a period of reduced productivity that is a symptom of starvation which motivates you to address the problem while giving you time to do so.

I'd kill for a turn based mode.

Game 3 -- the only good planet was my neighbor so I bought a cannon and shot at him. Big mistake! ha ha. He demolished me.

I agree with what someone else said, part of the fun of this game is figuring stuff out. A tutorial would be nice I guess. But it's fun anyway in the way of some old crazy games on the Apple II where I had no idea what the hell was going on. Anyone ever play Russki Duck?

It means you can have 3 workers on that forest.

Is there a pause button? I don't mean going into the menu where the save game option is, I mean to pause time passing but still being able to interact with the planet etc. When there is a lot going on and you have to make quick actions, a pause button would be useful. If I am being blind then I would appreciate it if someone replied with its location!

Everyone focused and obsessed on the Tutorial part... It does not need a tutorial(that much) and it's in game pedia is doing its job adequately. I think the developer left specific resource locations to player intuition like oil, uranium, netherium other than that it is two or three games of trial and error.

What everyone missing is, this game doesn't have any way to wage war with starships or evend send a ground force to other animals' planets. Even the front page article about the game being "Game of the Week" mentions you can "conquer" other planets. NO YOU CAN NOT. You can only destroy them, or if you try a couple dozens! of games, you can kill all the population on them without destroying the planet and try if it allows re-colonization. That is lazy reviewing and means they did not played the game throughly. I did and reached the 10th ascension level and unlocked all tech in challenge mode. No battleships or "conquering" was available.

If the developer adds space battles or at least invasion(maybe he intents we only have basic shuttle technology and cannons but that does not rule out ground battle) this game has the potential to be a full 5 star game direct and rightfully.

I've just discovered that it's possible to have planets outside your maximum sight range (after maxed ascension and techs) so you can't shoot down the last planet of an AI if that's the case.

I also got to the stage where the game told me the planet was starving.
The problem was that it kept telling me every couple of seconds that the planet was starving (due to my berry input/output keeping the berry count constant).

I got so sick and tied (and annoyed) of continuously tapping on the OK button to close the message that I let the planet die. #

When you visit a dead planet and find an escape pod it lets you build animals of that new race on the planet. Has anyone figured out how to choose whether you spawn one of your own race or one of the new race when you create a new creature? For example, I wanted to spawn my race (moles) on a rocky dead planet as they get a bonus to production, instead I kept spawning the elephant creatures I had rescued.

I completed the trial part, my planet was doing really well... gutted when it ended :(

Seems addictive... like that other space game that came out about a month or two ago.

I'd like to buy this, but can't afford it at the moment :(

Yes, agreed with the conquest point. Right now that's the only part of the game that feels a little hollow to me. It would be great if there was some way to wipe out the people on another planet and take it over rather than just blowing up the whole thing. Virus bombs or something? That would be a fairly easy way to implement a conquest condition without having to make big changes like adding ship battles or ground fighting. With the way costs scale for sending colonists, I can't imagine how much petrol it would take to send an invasion force large enough to kill the local population.

    Hi!

Thanks for your feedbacks everyone :)

About the game being a 4X: I can understand gamers don't think it is one. Because we didn't had this idea at start. This was a simulation, with build, exploration and micro-war component. Unfortunately when you have to tell a category for your game, it's better to use something people know, so it's 4X... I hope the free part can help people to decide soon enough if the game fits their expectations. It's why our monetization is made this way, because the game is so experimental.

I wish we could add more component to war. Things like 'artificial' planets is possible to dev, being able to build a planet anywhere in the map. Battleships is an other question. Currently AI can give up a planet if it takes too much damages, and you can take this planet after. unfortunately it was something hard to tune, and finally I tune it to the lower, because sometime it give up to soon and ruin the purpose of the game :( I think we can improve a lot of things in the AI domain.

Also: Tuning is incoming to have a better start, avoid worst scenarii and have a easier first contact with the game.

As soon as I have a list of all improvements in next update, I'll share on our forum and FB page of the game.
