So I've recently been hearing a lot about the new iPod Touch that is suppose to feature the similar technology as the iPhone 4. It's suppose to have gyroscope, camera(s) with flash, FaceTime, possibly Retina Display and other features. It's soon to be announced in September. What do you think about it? I was thinking about getting myself a normal 32gb 3rd gen. iTouch, but I suppose this would be the better choice. Also, I'm not sure if there's already a thread on this.
Wasn't all of this already pretty much assumed in the other threads already started about this? The rear camera was questionable, but everything else I figured was a given. And September is typically Apple's iPod refresh period.
I have an iPod 3rd generation. It would be nice to have the next generation, but I'll skip it unless it has a sim card slot to have an internet plan with Bell or Rogers, just like the iPad. I don't want an iPad because it is too big to carry in my pocket.
I'm most likely going to get the 4th gen, even though I got the 3rd gen. I'm really hoping for a new design though :O
I'm going to at least wait until the end of January to see if the Verizon iphone comes. There's been even more rumors than normal and it's generally assumed to be at least announced sometime in January.
yeah this article is old.. this guy in the artical has been ranting on about this for months.. latest rumor i read is we will get a ipod conference from jobs from the 14-16th they think monday.. im sick of the rumors.. im just gonna wait and assume its gonna be the iphone 4 with out the cell. no matter what it has it will be faster than my gen 2 which is in need of retirement now since i updated to iso4 like a jack a**. this thing is so unstable since upgrading to iso4 amazing.. 3.1 was stable.. they should of kept this thing beta for a few more months. instead of patching holes now i think latest update is 4.2 and all it did was block the jailbreakme.com fix the pdf hole. chris.
you never know someone might i know im giving my gen 2 to a friend. ( and the gen 3 touch is much faster than my gen 2. My sister has a gen 3. ) was gonna keep it on the coffee table but thought what a waste. :d chris.
I'm so happy I didn't upgrade to iOS4, I'll wait for this new iPod to get it right. (Perhaps iOS5?) But I heard it ****ed up the iPods and made everything laggy.
yeah it did not treat me very good.. and my battery life sucks now.. and safari, itunes, etc crashs all the time.. shrugs.. i have to reboot a lot.. before i could let it go for a month with out a reboot. well i did learn my lesson with updating the os on my ipod. i will never jump on the band wagon again and be one of the early adopters. i do wish we could go back to 3.. i would so update to 3 in a heart beat. chris.
my 2g is slow compared to the gen 3 by quite a bit even before i updated to is04.. iso4 did not slow my ipod down.. it just causes all kinds of problems i did not have before.. can only imagine gen 4 be even quicker. chris.
