So do we. I think it is safe to say that for most of us, this is our favorite game that we've worked on so far I was playtesting it earlier and ended up just playing it for half an hour (a lot of time when you only have three days!) and we don't even have half the features in yet ... Speaking of which, here are some lovely new screenshots for you guys! As you explore, you will move from room to room. Walking into a new room can be a spooky experience, for you can't see very far A little exploration reveals a cave for you to explore. Goodies will be housed here later Why is Dirt on the wall? Because in this game, there is multi-directional gravity! Just turn your device, and voila - you can walk on walls, ceilings, even THE FLOOR! (Though the latter is not recommended.)
Right now one is exporting and the other is uploading to youtube, 89% done with 43 minutes to go. So they're not too far away Lopi and Jenna have retired for the night, Josiah and I are working on finishing up a few things before bed. We just had a good conversation about why we love games, and why Dirt is going to be awesome because it's the kind of game we both love a lot, I love making games with this guy Been doing so since 2003 or 2004 now and it's still awesome.
A new screenshot with a few things we got in last night ... Corners look nicer now thanks to the curving dirt piles, and we have gems for you to collect now Those will tie in some mysterious ways ... in a day or two another youtube should be up (not the one that was being uploaded last night) where I talk a little bit about those. Suffice it to say we're really working hard on making things in this game "discoverable" but not beating you over the head with them. ALSO - This game does not feature GameCenter so we are trying to build it for as low of a version of the iPhone OS as we can. We are looking for a beta tester with ios 4.0 and a beta tester with 3.1.3, because unfortunately all of our own devices are 4.2. Um, unfortunately the other video I uploaded last night did NOT upload. It was Friday night's progress report. So that's annoying. Uploading now. Which will take another 2 hours.... Gah! We might have averted an impending camera crisis. Anybody know why the Flip x MBP mysteriously imports footage partially? Whatever, I'm gonna keep trying to reduce the likeliness of that happening.

Really emphasizing the exploratory and mysterious feel of the game right now, it is gameplay complete and we are working on the ulterior aspects. We are all super in love with it right now too
Yep, that would be one of the background images you can excavate. Not one of the best-looking ones, but definitely one of the weirdest! Most of them are just curiosities, some of them serve a slightly esoteric function, some of them fill in obscure pieces of the story... there's a ton of them, if you can find 'em. ~Josiah
I'm totally inlove with the idea of being in on the secrets... I wonder if anybody would be curious about this game just cause we're so hush-hush about things and being intentionally vague about details.
We didn't finish Dirt this morning before we got too tired. Finishing it now, just a few bug fixes left really which is what made it so painful to quit when, but I was at the point whereI actually fell asleep in my chair for a few seconds before Josiah said something to me. The sound in this game is awesome. Josiah did a magic trick so that the opening song sounds amazing, even on iPhone speakers!
