There's a massive world to explore, lots of equipment and most of the RPG tropes that we love to see and the dev has some great ideas that they're adding in free updates so it's a great chance to get cheap entry and watch it grow into something special. Definitely recommended for indie RPG lovers, you're not getting Aralon-level polish, at least not yet. So if you don't mind that then this is definitely recommended. mrbiggles Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 3,691 0 0 Like retired USA #3 mrbiggles, Mar 8, 2014 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #4 jeffyg3, Mar 8, 2014 This game seems pretty cool. That, or just a normal Plays. Didn't look terrible, but at that point I wasn't interested in buying it. But if what was said above is true, and the developer has improved it, and will keep doing so, it might be worth checking out; however, I'm still gonna wait it out. Will probably snag it eventually. Jorlen Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2009 1,094 2 38 IT Canada #6 Jorlen, Mar 8, 2014 Just read the original thread and Bronx / PeteOzzy's impressions. I'm going to buy it to support the dev, but I can't help but feel like this is a pretty big missed opportunity to access a big chunk of the IOS action/RPG market. Meaning, if the title of the game was different, and the protagonist not a big bunny, this could have captured fans of games like Aralon and Ravensword. I certainly hope it's sold enough to cover the developer's time and efforts! elr0y7 Active Member Apr 1, 2009 36 0 6 #7 elr0y7, Mar 8, 2014 Looking at the screenshots that was my first thought too; change the title, the bunny, and are those words the actual buttons? voncarp Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2012 157 3 18 IT Hawaii https://www.facebook.com/forcequitapplications/ #8 voncarp, Mar 9, 2014 No. I changed all the texts to icons except for action messages. I also changed the font. I haven't updated any screenshots or redone the video yet. The cartoon bunny plays well for his abilities. Aralon is a good game. However, its a different game. The characters in Aralon fit their world, while the the cartoon bunny fits his world. Aralon characters aren't going to do somersaults or pull out a shotgun. But, this cartoon bunny will. Power up the special moves with their fighting styles and you will see where the gameplay shines. Any issues/concerns/bugs/suggestions that we can fix or add we will. Just submitted another update with Gamecenter support based on a players request. Likely will be approved sometime this week. So now you can track kills and distances the enemy traveled after you kicked them across the screen. I appreciate everyones support who has purchased already. And am very much thankful to PeteOzzy. He was very critical upon release, rightfully so; but all the improvements were pretty much based on his suggestions. I've noticed the text splattered all over the screen might be a turn-off to a would-be purchaser; I was even about to leave the game page before I read some impressions and further learned that it doesn't look like that anymore. Cheers, looking forward to playing the game, bunny and all voncarp Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2012 157 3 18 IT Hawaii https://www.facebook.com/forcequitapplications/ #10 voncarp, Mar 9, 2014 Thanks for the support! Great idea on the vid and images. Need to update those. Let me know if you have any issues or ideas on how we can improve Lonely Bunny. Thanks again jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #11 jeffyg3, Mar 9, 2014 I bought, played it for about 30 minutes and died. Is there supposed to be a save point in this game? I'm just starting all over. So far only thing I wish we're changed is the way you move the camera around. It's basically a joystick. Would have been much better if it was more like a relative touch camera...if you know what I mean, kinda like how it is in most of the FPS iPad games. But overall I enjoyed the game so far. Also is there no story? Not sure, didn't really get far into the game voncarp Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2012 157 3 18 IT Hawaii https://www.facebook.com/forcequitapplications/ #12 voncarp, Mar 9, 2014 It saves between levels. The levels are fairly small. If you finish a level it automatically creates a save point. Click the menu button and tap load last level and it will bring you back to that point. How does a relative touch camera work? I should be able to implement one for you. Which FPS iPad game are you referring to and I'll see if I can emulate it for you. If you open the menu you can lock the camera from rotating up and down by sliding the Y limit up and Y limit down all the way to the left. By doing that, your not going to be able to aim magic or ranged weapons up or down. The dragon falling scene is important to not have the limits locked in order to shoot the dragon. The story is told through scrolls found on bodies throughout the game. Thanks for buying and let me know what kind of controls you have in mind. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #13 Exact-Psience, Mar 9, 2014 To be honest, the thing holding me back from picking this up is "the bunny." Would be all over this if it was a more mature protagonist. A human, an orc, an undead, an imp, an elemental, an elf, a goblin, a demon, a dragon, a merman, a jinn, a naga, a satyr, a fairy... Wait... No fairies. I wont play a game as a fairy. Or a bunny for that matter. The game shows some promise, and i dont have anything against rabbits, but i just prefer not playing as one in this type of action RPG. Will keep an eye to what other releases the dev can crank out, hopefully it'll be more along my preference. voncarp Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2012 157 3 18 IT Hawaii https://www.facebook.com/forcequitapplications/ #14 voncarp, Mar 9, 2014 Thanks for showing interest. Fair response. The protagonist isn't appealing to everyone I agree. We do feel your going to miss out on a fun gameplay experience. I'll let you know when our next RPG is more completed to show. It will probably be more in line with your what your looking for. Soon, I will disagree with the not "mature" theme. An upcoming update in the works with a new fighting style will have the hero taking heads off. Literally Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #15 Exact-Psience, Mar 9, 2014 Yeah, i guess it was not appropriate to use the word mature, but i understand you already know that the bunny part wasnt appealing to everyone. jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #16 jeffyg3, Mar 9, 2014 Thanks for the response. I got to the dragon part on my iPad mini and it just crashed after I touched the dragon. I'll have to replay it and get to that part again. On the camera. A camera system like Deus Ex on the iPad/iPhone. Basically the camera moves where your finger moves, so if you move your finger to the right and stop the camera stops, doesn't keep moving. Makes moving the camera a whole lot smoother on touch devices. AnarKitty Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2010 3,654 0 0 Minneapolis, USA #17 AnarKitty, Mar 9, 2014 Happy to see the dev involved in the forums, and working to improve the title. I'll download Deus Ex and see if I can get a their control scheme working for you. Let me know if you really want that control scheme. I'm sorry for the crash. Someone else with an iPad mini mentioned it crashed there too. Which generation iPad mini do you have? Do you have iOS 7? There is a cutscene at that exact point that might be the problem that I might have to modify for iPad mini users. Thanks! Let me know how we can improve the game. jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #19 jeffyg3, Mar 9, 2014 Yeah thank you, that would help a lot with camera system if you could add that camera option. If you want something free to check out with the camera you can download a number of free 3D games if u don't want to pay for anything new, like Brother in Arms (just don't enable gyroscope controls when asked). I have a 1st generation iPad Mini with the latest iOS 7. I did replay it the 2nd time and it got past that dragon part without crashing. Now the only part that doesn't seem to work is the level after the dragon, there's a hut shortly after it starts with a couple bunnies. If I go into the store to sell my items and when I drag an item to sell, it crashes right after. I've reset my device and started the game 3 times and it's crashed at that part all 3 times. I just can't sell anything at that part. I just moved on from there. So far no crashes after that specific part tho. Thanks for the support and responses...developers like this are the ones I continue to buy games from at launch. voncarp Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2012 157 3 18 IT Hawaii https://www.facebook.com/forcequitapplications/ #20 voncarp, Mar 10, 2014 I download Brother in Arms and from my understanding you like to use one finger to rotate around? The control scheme is somewhat similar to that just much slower. Do you want it to zip around that fast and a little knob controller for the character to move? It shouldn't be hard to do. I just want to make sure thats what your looking for. Is it crashing on one particular item or is it crashing on any item you try to sell at that point? Does it sell in other stores?
