I like to play this game. :) What I am curious about the design of this game is that why the planes are all in black and white?

    Here is my review.

I like the art style of a crazy fighter, and the music is cool but could definitely use some more variation as it repeats very often. There are a still a few bugs in this game, music looping badly on loading screens for example or enemies freezing when bosses appear and not shooting back. That said the game does something right by letting you choose your shooting stlye, an idea I have only seen elsewhere once. I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the enemies need to show when they are getting hit. I personally feel the controls could use a little tweaking as the current touch mode is rather slow for such a game. I think if the controls are fixed, or at least given the ability to change sensitivity for, the music is extended and the few stray bugs are worked out this would be a 4 star game. I am leaving my review at 4 stars in hopes that at least some of these issues are remeided, as is it is closer to 3 1/2. As always with a top down shooter a greater variety of enemies and power ups wouldn't hurt.

    Behind you!
here is my "fair" review for the contest

This game could be one of the best shooters on the iphone.

And when I say could be, I mean that it isn't yet. It deffinately has potential, but just doesn't quite do it yet. It's a pretty basic shooter, with basic levels and a boss fight at the end with fairly predictible attack patterns. I do like the fact that you can choose from three different ships/shooter patterns(two unlocked at the start), but that doesn't quite make up for what the game is lacking. The game does have polish, but the graphics could be a little more exciting, right now they are a little dull. The controls do work well, but they could be a little faster and slightly more responsive. I can't say I don't like the game, but I can say that it doesn't hold my interest for very long, however, I look forward to seeing what the future of this game holds. There aren't very many good top down scrolling shooters, and this one has promise, but it needs some more material before it can safely rank among the kings of the genre. The dev has done a good job, but needs to do a little more in order to keep my interest, but keep up the good work, it's deffinately a promising start!

Here is my Review for this game!:

Unlike many topdown shooters, a crazy fighter gives you a few choices and many chances. Your first choice is between two ships at are available at the beginning of the game. Both ships have their own different characteristics.

The graphics are well done and give you the feel of a classic arcade game.

The opening music is done pretty good with a heavy guitar or rock band type of feel which sort of gets you pumped and ready to go when you start the game. While playing the game, the music has more of a electric type of vibe, and when you face a boss, the music changes again to music of eminent danger.

The ship moves at its own speed, not as fast as your finger, but that is not a problem. I think it actually adds to the games uniqueness.
You can also offset your finger from the ship so that your finger isnt covering the ship while you are playing.

Your Ship autofires, so there is no fire button and you can keep your focus on all of the enemies bullets.

After each level, you get to face a unique boss that has their own style shooting.

Also in game, there is a pause button at the top right for you to use if you need to pause the action for a bit.

For powerups, there are a couple different powerups that increase your bullets and firing spread, restore your health, and give you more bombs to use.

The game also gives you 3 retries per level and gives you chances with a health meter instead of dying from one shot like some other games.

Another thing that stands out in this game is that when you have gotten to a level, you can choose to just start on that level instead of just starting over on the first level.

When you complete the game, a third ship is unlocked for your playing pleasure and increases replayability for the game.
