Thank you thank you. Also I know you tweaked the cooking but damn is it hard. Cooking this jerk 10 rat tails is harder than half the quests I’ve done

I keep getting requests about this, is it fairly common practise? Im not really sure how to do it. I assume there must be some sot of 3rd party hosting service involved?

lol. Have you tried leveling up your cooking skill via smelly broth first? Also, there's a little bit of a EXP trick to this version, try just make 1 smelly broth at a time for a bit of an exp boost. I've fixed this in an upcoming patch to make the batch cook earn the same EXP

Hmm, I just had what I assume is a late stage boss spawn just outside of the starting town.

I’m assuming this is a glitch right?

I am not a dev or coder so I have no understanding what is involved but quite a few mobile devs seem to implement cloud saving if they have an iOS/Android version as well as a pc version. You are able to play on your pc and then save and transfer that file to the cloud and then download the save file from the cloud onto your mobile device and vice-versa. When it works it works really well.
I notice that the Steam version is now at 1.14 while the iOS version is still at 1.10.
I realise that iOS patches take longer than Steam and having different versions may be a problem with transferring saves over the cloud?

Actually the patching discrepancy makes my decision on what version to buy somewhat harder.
In this early stage of release, to keep up to date, the Steam version seems to be the one to buy, which would be a shame for me if 9th Dawn 3 has the same excellent touch controls that 9th Dawn 2 on the iPad had.

Hi! Was it kinda tall with 3 legs? As far as I'm aware this is a very rare glitch that has only happened to 1 other person (that I know of). I'm really unsure how this one is occuring, if you could provide more details on the events that led up to this please? And has it gone now?

Thanks, I'll look into it, but im not sure what exactly "cloud" the PC version would upload to (iCloud? google cloud? some 3rd party?)

The patch version differences will be most noticeable this first month I think, after that when this huge came is stabilised somewhat the patch versions should match a whole lot more!

I had just finished up Fort Hinuol and decided to head back to the starter town to do the damn fried rat tail quest (seriously, that’s like the hardest f’ing quest in the entire 9th Dawn series... wtf) On my way there I got distracted while looking through my inventory, and failed to notice that I was getting killed by a swarm of crabs.

So when I respawned, it sent me to the starter village rather than my most recent spawn. As soon as I spawned a large monster hit me and killed me. It was so quick I really couldn’t tell you much, but it didn’t look glitched our anything. It was red, maybe looked like a lizard/dragon type creature. Not tall with 3 legs, I can tell you that. I just assumed it was a dragon.

After it insta-killed me, I respawned back at where I should have in the first place (closer to the Fort). I went back to the starter town again, and everything was back to normal. No glitches since then.

Not sure if any of that could help. The only change I made in settings is turning on battery saver. I have 2 character save slots in use, and this happened on my second character.

I’m on an iPhone 11 with the most recent iOS 14 update. I don’t have a dev account or any odd jailbreak/3rd party stuff installed. I literally bought the game before you had even added info to the I tunes listing, this happened after the most recent patch.

Is the requirement to unlock Homing ice 2 correct? It feels a bit weird that the requirement is ice magic 15, while the fire ball 2 is asking for fire magic 25.

AppUnwrapper has posted an hour long YouTube mobile version gameplay video.

    What I noticed after about watching halfway through;

    1. The joystick graphics are bigger than they were in 9th Dawn 2 and are floating. A shame because I thought the smaller and fixed joysticks in 2 were simply fantastic.
    2. The inventory and options icons were both too big and in an awkward position. I see a patch has apparently moved them but I don’t know if they are now smaller, which I think would be much better.
    3. Suggestion; Chests graphics close again after opening. It would stop double opening if the chest remained open.
    4. I don’t know what the rather large character icons on the rhs of the screen are for? They look too big anyway. I don’t see them on videos of the pc version.
    5. I think the Home Bar on my iPad Pro 12.9”3rd gen will cover the item number on the hotbar at the bottom of the screen.

I’m still torn as to what version of the game to buy lol.

Sometimes when you see Android/IOS cross platform saving it’s the dev hosting its own save site.

Never mind I figured it out. Last question is where do I find the person who teaches weapon smithing? Need a shiny new sword

Found it! Not used to having so many different entrances to dungeons, tricky! I am really enjoying the discovery/adventure aspect. Also, before going to the fort its deifnitely good to go find the goblins, but...they aren't really north east or whatever, they are north and you have to go east and then around back.

I know there is no substitute for playing the games but cam anyone give a brief overview of the story in part 1 & 2 to better start this one? Or, is part 3 so separate that it doesn’t matter?

Customizable controls would be great. Particularly moving the backpack and settings icons. I find myself hitting the backpack all the time when using the joystick. Gets pretty annoying. Could we get the ability to move it up or to another area of the screen?

the smelly broth actually has a high fail rate. I have cooked A LOT of rat tails, because I can’t buy water or carrots anywhere and don’t want to screw myself out of the ingredients, but with level 9 cooking I am at 26% on smelly broth, so I’ll need x4 the ingredients to make it.

I am hoping to replay this game as a mage but I’m concerned about the repetitiveness of the cooking/forging/alchemizing/fishing. Is there any reward for the card game that effects gameplay? I like it, but I don’t have time for lots of mini games. It would help if there was a diminished experience return for cooking in bulk. I am cooking one item at a time because of that and...yeah that’s not going to stay fun.

I was having a hard time with the goblins at level 15-17. It went from the ruins with monsters hitting for 20-30 damage, to 90-400 with the goblin cave. so I went ahead to the haunted town and bought armor there. It seems like there is something missing in the difficulty scaling though. Maybe that’s because rescuing nameless will give me a companion, and I need to get a pet? I think I can handle fort Hinoi now, maybe I can find a better weapon there...

Controls are coming up a bit in the forum, I’ll add that sometimes I find my hotspot items have disappeared. I think in the heat of combat, i am hitting the hotspot but my finger is dragging slightly back to attack or roll, and then swiping the hotspot item off.One possibility to address the hot spots is having to hold a second and then the icon jiggles so you can move it. It’s a familiar mechanic. I think from inventory the dragging is fine, it’s just for hotspots.

Also, for an iPad, the roll button is hard to access sometimes. Because my thumbs are on the sides of the screen, it would be nice if the hotspots were split in half, each set in to the corners. Using the middle hot buttons is a bit of a reach/takes a bit too much time and energy for a repeated action especially when things get intense. Especially trying to go from hotspot to rolls.
