I ran across some kind of fast travel station in the far southwest, near the coast, but it was way too expensive for my taste/level...$10k I think.
Glad to know! I'm a little lost right now though. I got to Windhun after getting the first stone, but there aren't any quests there. I explored a few dungeons nearby, but found nothing about the main quest. I did find the hook, at least.
that's impossible at least now, the magic is like a gear in this game, the other reason is there's no lock system like some mmorpg, you need to aim by yourself to use some magic like fireball, since the aim system not perfect IMO, I quit to play long range play stlye like Mage/Archer. I main dual daggers, sometimes there's a switch that I need to use bow to shoot, I bind bow and dagger, when I want use bow, just tap bow once, if I want to use dual daggers, tap dagger twice, I think it's the only way now.
Man, I'm having a REALLY hard time with magic enemies. I can take any melee monsters just fine, but magic drops me in seconds.
Shortly after you find that you hit a wall with magic enemies. Level up a bit more go explore to the east. Far to the east. You'll find all kinds of stuff you will probably have to skip over. 10k is barely any silver at all. I am 800k and I am a little past there. I have found two fast travel stations. I keep my default spawn at the town near the grappling hook since one is there. Die or use wings to get back once inv is full and teleport back. I even finally downed deathmare.
Is the only way to unbind is to go to options? Can you move your hot bar items around? I can't get items on sidebars for the menus are in the way. I have gotten along way without just curious.
It brings up to seperate panels with an x on each one you hit the x on one of them and it closes both.
I am only a few hours in and enjoying this immensely. There are some frustrating aspects interface wise but there is always time to iron them out or simply adapt. My question is, however, is their enchanted gear in this game or rare/unique items? Things that actually buff your attributes or just items that enhance your attack and defences? Thanks in advance
Well this game is shaping up to be pretty good! Tried to start as a Mage but immediately changed my mind when I understood what you all meant about the controls. The Mage controls on the first one were so much better, similar to the bow and arrow controls where you aim and THEN release. Considering being an archer, but not sure yet. Is there any active abilities for warrior and archer?
Seems like mage has a lot more spells for some reason. Warrior has like 6 or so from what I gather unless I am wrong.
It's all about skills what ever you use the most you become. Iam powerful with melee but with sword because that what I used. Now Iam building up my magic. You are also where you put you're attributes. If you never use an axe you can't use a powerful ace no matter what strength you have. If you never use magic it doesn't matter how much wisdom you have. You can't just where any armor either like so body else posted. I grind a lot .
I'm kinda tempted to be an archer but I think I'll get wallbanged sometime when I don't have much room to...whatever the word for leading them along from a distance while shooting them is...
I don't know about archer but with Mage I have sword in one hand the other a fireball when Iam up close it uses both. In the early game I built up my sword skills strength and constitution. You only need 15 wisdom for fireball.
Can anyone confirm if gear only increase physical attack/defence and/or magical attack/defence? Is there any gear that has special properties that boosts attributes or health/mp/sp regen? Anything ?
That's the one. And yeah so I think I'll just stick with melee for now. What weapon should I specialise in?
I went daggers but I had to travel far to get an upgrade and ended up on the ice dragon quest. I am sitting at 200 str, 5 dex, 60 con, 50 int, and 65 wisdom. Daggers works because I get more attacks in, but given how I play now, I might flip over to a 2 hand. I don't kite anymore. With the healing spells and heavy armor having magic defense, I am a walking meat shield. I still only have about 25% of the map cleared too.
I'm going strength:cons:dex 3:2:1 because I like both archer and melee. Currently using sword and mace, and sometimes a bow. Cool thing with bow is that there's no cool down- it shoots as fast as you spam. As long as you have some accuracy you can shred enemies at short-mid range. PEWPEWPEWPEW! If they get into a pack or too close for comfort you can switch to dual weapons. May not be a good plan but whatever
