I already figured out the aim thing it just amazes me how the enemy takes advantage of that they don't stay in one place very long. Iam getting better but I still suck, I like the challenge. I don't use pc much anymore I like my tablet. I've been playing a lot of turn base lately.
Crashlands, after the hype faded, got old very quickly. This has more of an adventurous feel. For me. If you are going melee, keep in mind weapon attack speeds if you suck at aiming. I went to daggers and I do more damage now than axes.
Finally delving into this. Definitely cool. Enjoying so far. Lost Socks has been consuming my gaming time.
Is anyone else have save game issues? What is spawn point save for if that's not where you return when you come back to the game later? Heck I just died and it sent me back to an earlier spawn point too. Really annoying when you don't know whether you are truly saving your progress (including chests you've opened).
I have not had any save spot issues... I'm always taken right back to where I last saved. I also have auto-save enabled... if that means anything to anyone. Re: Amenbrother - Actually, no, I haven't gotten that far yet. I started one game, found and took that weapon bag to the guy in the little base just south of the first town, then started another game to try out some different attributes, did the same things I did the first time around and now I'm in the cave just south of the first town. I don't know if I'm going 'out of order' with anything, but I'm trying to complete as many quests as I can while I explore the little area around the first town... I have a feeling I'm going to be stretching this out the first couple times I play - probably dumping twice the time most people do into a play through... But I love these 'here's the world, go explore - have your own adventure - no handholding' type of games. =oD
I don't see any language options in the menu. Thanks guys. I do have autosave on but I see that it's every 15 minutes. I'll try also hitting save each time before I stop playing.
This is the problem I'm having. The rock monsters completely destroy me. I don't see how support magic will help as I'll still have low magic defense. Any tips on how to increase that? Or is that why you invest in wisdom, so you can wear silk armor?
How come the Android version have zoom but the iOS version doesn't? Also, is an archer build viable? Any recommendations on stat distribution?
I still can't recommend to play long range play style like mage/Archer now, since the aim system is not perfect IMO, but if you wanna try, maybe 4dex/1con? you can kill monster quikely if you can aim really well, I find it's hard to deal with 3 or more monsters with my poor aim so I quit to play archer lol.
Yeah, from what I've played it's really difficult. Maybe they should make arrows infinite to make up for it. How is magic? Worth investing for a melee character?
Actually you will get a lot arrows from chests and enemies, if you remember to recycle arrows you/enemies missed on the ground, you can take longer time to purchase arrows, I always prepared 500 or more arrows every time I want to go somewhere. There are stronger arrows you can get later, so I don't worry the attack power but accuracy, the terrible aim system is the main reason I quit archer lol. According to some comments, you probably need to get some magic-resist equipments later in the game, so maybe you can learn magics which buff your protect/resistance first.
Yes I agree aiming is very difficult especially since the enemies move around better than I do. I have gotten better at melee since I learned to get very close to the enemy, even though they don't have to be as close to get you. The game plays more like a rogue like game very difficult.
I'm using a Mage build. Staff and fireball. Plays like a twin stick shooter. Started by using Mele and then built magic skills. Also using summon if they get in close, the summoned creature will mostly handle. Tough, a little slow to progress, but fun.
5 star game. It's the kind of game you think about even when you're not playing. The character development is flawless. The world is mind blowing. I haven't had this much rpg fun since Morrowind. Just had to share that.
