I'm trying to understand why some chests will look open after you open them and some don't. It appears as though only chests that have loot will look open once you've taken everything from them but chests that had nothing in them stay closed. Am I correct in that assumption? Is there a way to "trick" an empty chest into showing the open graphic so I don't try and loot the same chest over and over again?
I don't think the graphic changes for chests and the various other items in the game that act like chests such as Spoiler certain barrels, mushrooms, caskets, etc . I think the easiest way to tackle them is to clean an area out and then go back and check every single chest (or chest like item) and make a mental mark that you have cleaned that area completely. I wouldn't skip on checking anything because there are some really nice weapons and other stuff hidden through out the world with chests (etc) being the only place to find them. If you are unsure if an area has been cleaned (such as in a maze), look for the corpses of enemies you killed. They stick around which makes exploring a little easier.
Argh... I'm level 52 and I've just spent 20 mins plus, wandering around a brick maze only to stumble on a secret room and... Died in 1.5 seconds!!! Theres like 5-6 dragons in there, as soon as I entered I was dead..
What are you playing as? As a Knight, whenever I'm exploring somewhere new I go ahead and enable the first magic spell so whatever first hit I get off does massive damage, but I also make my first hit the second level magic which does enough damage to take out a small hoard of enemies. But hey, that's part of what I love about this game. Explore like crazy... then bam a crazy moment hits and maybe I dominate or maybe I don't, but either way I'm going to push to get back to that spot and the second time through a path is always a lot easier with fewer enemies than the first.
Ok is my quest glitched I'm trying to find Rena's key and went to the broken buildings looted all killed all still no key, where is and if it is glitched is it a known glitch? Also anyway to fix it? I'm really disappointed if this is already bugged since I only started playing like 30 mins ago.
Yeah i'm level 60 or so and in one of the deserts i met a lot of dragons, got killed time and time again. Their card is marked though Once i get up a few more levels i'm going back there for payback ! Its very clever as it seems the damage you've inflicted on say one dragon, if you go back to that place or die and go back that dragon seems to have the damage you caused him before (instead of just being 'reset'). A few tricky places i've died a few times but as i've gone back the enemies got weaker and weaker till i've finally killed them
Typically items are found it chests and barrels. The best way (IMO) to check them is to just tap the screen on each one to make sure you check them all. It's been so long since I played that part of the game... maybe I'll start a new save with the mage or another character and see if I can finish that part of the game.
Ok nevermind I got the key I didn't realize tapping on the chest is to make sure you open the right one, lesson learned thanks.
Glad you figured it out. I went ahead and started a save as a Mage and just made it to the goblins area when I got killed trying to level up my magic stave ability. Doah! Glad you figured it out. I haven't tried the archer yet. I was surprised the knight had magic abilities that unlocked as you reached certain levels. For giggles, I started a save as the Archer and under the "Spells" menu it shows 3 spells with the highest level one unlocking at level 30. Maybe check them out?
Just encounterd a bug I think big John wants me to find him 5 mushrooms however I already did that quest and came back later and talked to the guy he gave me the quest again, I noticed there is a command prompt in the option menus so I'm hoping I can fix this it won't let me collect mushrooms for him there all empty.
Hey I just lost all my quest my game is glitched now after messing with the command prompt, I'm now consider deleting this game, how glitchy is this game? It's odd that one of the first quests bugged out on me... The guy made me redo the quest which could not be completed so I tried fixing the game using command prompt now after messing with the command prompt I have to start a new game.......... This game has potential but I can't stand bugged out quests do to my OCD.
That quest didn't bug out on me, but I did complete it in one go and saved afterwards so who knows why it worked for me. Keep in mind that is just a side-quest and doesn't have to be completed to fully finish the game. I'm very OCD as well when it comes to games like this. I like to fully explore every single thing games have to offer. I don't know if it's enough to complete the quest again, but you will find more mushrooms in the game world. But you already dipped into the command line thing and messed up your? If your save isn't messed up you'll just have to redo the couple quests before that one for it to pop back up. Either way, honestly this is a fantastic game through and through... but it's up to you to decide to keep at it or move on to something else. Me, I'm glad I didn't let a few bugs (most of which are gone with the update) stop playing because so far it's been an exceptionally fun experience.
since i did reset quest can I do all the quest again or will they be buuged for example reena is in her house now but she wants me to start all over, can this work or should i restart a new game? I would for sure play this game again as it is fun so restarting is not a problem but i rather keep my guy the way he is.
The game isn't that buggy, stop saying you can't find the key or that you cant find this because you should learn to TAP the chests, don't just rely on the hand icon to do it for you, because it will often open the same chest again when you are trying to open other stuff. Also, please don't complain that you don't get any directions and that there isn't any tutorial- welcome to REAL games. The game is about exploration, and is very clever in that it avoids spoon-feeding everyone. It's no fun if you have NPCs saying stuff like "to get to ~insert town~, go approximately 500 metres north, 700 metres east, do a flip, jump over the rope, kill the spider, and spin around 3 times while reciting the alphabet" because then you will just do it without any difficulties, finish the game in no time and then possibly have a whine about how it's too easy or just like your average RPG. Exploring should be fun, not a chore! ~RANT OVER~
