    Unintended consequence ;_;

I upped the range of the interaction button because so many people were complaining about not being able to use it to talk to merchants behind counters without manually tapping on them... I really don't know an easy way to reconcile this... Actually i have one idea, so I'll try that some time.

Heya, I'm gonna pick up the game really soon, and just want some questions answered as I do so.

    1. Is there a possibility for unarmed/martial art-style fighting?

I LOVE the idea behind warrior monks/ninjas/martial art masters, and always try to play a style similar to that concept when I get into an RPG. Has anyone tried doing this? If not, what are thoughts about it? If the idea is suicide in this game, then can the devs consider an expansion themed around that? Would it be possible to code such a class/playstyle into the game?

On a related note, are there fist weapons like brass knuckles or claws? If so, what class uses them?

    2. Are there multiple difficulty settings?

Considering that many folks have not been significantly challenged if they have built their character well, it would be nice to select a harder difficulty level to get that feeling of being challenged. If this isn't implemented yet, can it be implemented?

    3. Can you transform at will into powerful monsters? What class(es) can do this?

On a related note... is there Polymorph? One way to balance a Polymorph-style spell if this game doesn't have one is for the Polymorphed object to retain its stats, but cannot use any special abilities beyond a basic melee attack for the duration of the spell. For example: let us say a dragon gets Polymorphed. The Polymorphed dragon would still be uber-strong and tough, but would not be able to breathe fire or cast spells (if it is a spell-casting dragon).

That's all I have for now. I surely hope I enjoy the game as much as the folks in this thread have!

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Album

Ok, I like the game so far but I have a bit of a problem. I can't find the key for the quest Rena's key early in the game. It is the second quest from the person that gives you the quest to explore the first cave in the game

Ok, so I messed around with the different character sprites but I want it back to the default archer. Is this possible??

I'd also like changing sprites more if you could still see your bow in hand. It doesn't show on dif sprites that aren't the default archer.

    Guess what? Classified.
    Classified.
It's in a chest in a village with goblins. Just snoop around more.

Is iCloud save supported. I don't see it...
Been playing on iPhone but just got my mini and don't want to start over. Sadly I needed to do a restore from my other iPad for things (more important than games GASP!) to sync.

Yes, you just need to figure out which sprite number corresponds to the archer. It should be somewhere in the first 33 sprites (which mostly make up all the NPCs and player sprites).

9th Dawn does not support iCloud sorry. As our first mobile game, some parts of the engine were badly designed, and we had to completely rip out the saving system and replace it partway through development. In it's current state, saving is spread out over a large number of files making it difficult to transfer game saves. Very sorry about this, but we have learned from our mistakes and our next games will be a whole lot better

    100%

If RPG's are your favourite genre you should love this. Its a great 'homage' to the early Ultima games, tons to do, non-linear, can just go around killing stuff, getting silver/weapons and increasing your skill levels.

    An amazing game.

I've completed the main story but i'm discovering new areas, sub missions and just trying to attack everything i find !

Honestly its great, different shops to go to to buy armour, potions or food. Different towns to discover, camps, goblin fort etc.

Combat is great with the dual joysticks. Honestly i've been after an old skool style Ultima game since i discovered iOS and this is the best one i've found by far

Dont be put off my the retro graphics. Games like this which are non-linear are great as you feel like you are exploring a real world, exploring caves/towns, trying to get clues about missions or accepting sub missions etc. Tons of weapons/armour to use.

There are 'modern day' type versions such as Aralon (huge expansive RPG) but these older style ones are still classics. Hope you enjoy it

Wow, Pocket Tactics just reviewed this and gave it 3/5

Truly pathetic, its a 5/5 for me or 4/5 at worse.

Guess thats one review site I'll avoid from now on.

Congratulations! It's 4,5 stars on Toucharcade review, and I've get it 5 stars on AppStore. And it's the last game which I lost money to buy this week. :D

I'm so glad i read this post ! I'm in that area and was just about to buy it this evening when i buy the game. I think i'll pass now !

Do you move much quicker with the camel ? Can you get off it ? Or are you stuck on it all the time ?

Great to read the positive review. Shame about that stupid negative comment. I'm glad theres no arrows pointing me where to go on every quest

This is meant to be an homage to the old RPG's, not the modern games where an arrow points you where to go every single time. Ridiculous.

I died and now it's gone :p But that makes me think there is a purpose behind it. But mostly it just follows you around screwing up your ability to loot and open things. No extra speed or anything noticeable. Good riddance! Lol
