Just a tip with the maze- Spoiler stay to one side and follow the wall. You will eventually come to the end.
The update sounds awesome. I like that line of site will be toggle-able, brightness can be tweaked and a few of the other bug fixes and stuff. Some of the chests (and chest like items) are in groups where you can't get right next to them. I think it'll be easy to miss checking them if you just use the button, but I could be wrong and the game will make it clear which of a group of 5 chests/barrels/whatever you're accessing. Maybe it'll put a target over it or something.
Right i'm level 62 I'm saved right near the main 'baddie', but everytime he totally destroys me. He poisons me, i cant use enough life potions in time Any clues ? Or is level 62 too weak to face him ?
Has there been any sort of talk regarding the implementation of iCloud saves? That's my biggest issue at this point.
Some Tips: Spoiler Since I was a Knight, I chose a hit and retreat option. There are two sets of steps leading to that area... even if you are poisoned you can get to it and escape. There's also a necklace or ring that is an anti-venom/toxin something... it doesn't say it anywhere but it will keep you from getting poisoned if equipped. Also I stocked up on the extra powerful red tea from the lady in the first town and binded it to one of the slots on screen. She will sell it after you level up some (you should be able to get it). Other tips? If you are a Knight, use the second level magic attack and bind it to one of the easy to reach quick slots. Just be prepared to heal while the stamina bar recharges and if you get too overwhelmed, run for a portal. If you are poisoned the game will crash but it will save before it crashes (until the update comes out)... if you aren't poisoned then you can take a moment to heal up and get prepared for another round. The damage done to the enemy stays where you left it... so it's not like starting over each time you enter that area and start fighting the boss.
Just as a minor correction to the last post about poison + portal = crash; we fixed that in the latest patch which hasn't finished Apple's silly review process. The problem was that there was a pointer (programming speak at this point) to the enemy which inflicted a status on you that is associated with the status effect. When you change maps, the enemy gets unloaded from memory, but the status effect still tries to point to this enemy which no longer exists, causing a crash, so beware of this for a few more days (hopefully sooner rather than later).
Yeah that's why I said "(until the update comes out)". Once the update hits the issue should be gone.
Killed the final bad guy. Result Do I just go back now or can I get to that land at the north? What game!
You can go pretty much where ever you like. The island to the bottom right hinges off of a miniquest of sorts. No spoilers, just go to the town where the map shows the obvious path to the island. The other island is probably something similar, I haven't visited it yet.
Spoiler Don't bother. He just follows you around and gets in the way. When he follows you, the hand icon is always active and every time you tap it your character says "So useless...". So its kind of annoying. Thankfully he only follows you on that island.
The option to fast travel to previous locations would be nice, trudging back and forth all the time does get annoying.
The reason a lot of features like that were implemented, is because its pointless to travel through areas were challenges no longer exist. Once you begin leveling up in this game, going through old areas is tedious and has no point. Unless enemies are scaling and I am just not noticing it.
A spoiler about travel between towns: Spoiler Once you finish the main quest and talk to te dude that's at the save point in the wilderness between the first town and the maze that leads to te castle, you'll get an item that allows instant transport between the cities you have visited. It costs a few thousand silver per travel, but at that point in the game that's nothing since I easily had over a million silver.
This is my favorite game on iphone since Heroes and Castles. Also their forums is basically people asking for help/dev suggestions and the devs reply to EVERY POST. Its always in progress of development it seems, and its such a fun game to play.
