If I remember correctly, there is one right at the start when you're in the cabin, but it's probably easy to miss if you're the type who just runs in looking for action
Should I keep at it with the magic user or go with a knight? Also, looking at the options, there is a choice of inverted aim or not, so invert or not?
Apparently the magic user is the least challenging to play with, so I guess it depends what you're looking for. You can have multiple saves, so you could always start 3 games, play a few minutes with each to see which you like best.
Just to be sure I am actually hitting the enemy, I move my right virtual thumbstick towards my enemy to hit him right? That is with inverted aim disabled and aim assist on.
With your staff equipped, yes. With a spell equipped you point the stick to aim, release to fire. You should see red damage numbers over his head when you hit him.
Finished the main quest. I'm on to exploring the rest of the world and doing the stuff that follows. Overall well worth the $3. As far as the Knight goes, I think the game is fairly well balanced. Maybe not balanced on the loot side, but I'd rather have too much loot than too little. I think I have close to 1,000,000 in silver without even selling off the extra stuff I currently have. Anyway I'm hopeful that there's an update that moves the quest files into the documents folder or something. From what I read, the maps that the editor on PC make are compatible with the portable versions... so it would be cool to craft an expansion and be able to play it on the go.
I don't think this has been mentioned yet. For those of you who have finished the main quest Spoiler make sure you talk to the odd merchant. Best item in the game. Oh and I bought the camel if anyone wants to know what happens before you spend the silver.
Spoiler Nicely if you talk to the odd merchant then go hit the spawn marker next to him and then go back and examine the remains the game crashes. Upon restarting he will be back alive and you can get the items again. Not sure if they sell for anything. This was on my 4s. Edit, eh neither item is sellable. But it is a bug in the game.
Last chance to vote in Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week is over the next few hours; it's a close call but 9th Dawn is currently barely in first place: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=192140
Lol I also found the dungeon in Spoiler the desert, where you go through a bunch of cracked walls and touch a crystal. Was instantly killed by dragons LOLOLOL. I tried to beat them multiple times, but there are too many. Hey does anyone know where to get the 2nd coloured key?
After equipping everything in his inventory, my magic user no longer dies... But there were no spells in his inventory. Were there supposed to be any?
You should have spells in your spell menu. "Bind" them to a hotkey, then tap the hotkey to equip an offensive spell.
You gain spells upon reaching certain levels. Click on the colored bars on the top right to bring up the Player Menu screen. Then select the Spells icon on left. Select a spell and click on the "bind" icon, then select where to placeit. You can drag and place unlocked spells onto the action bar on the bottom center of the screen.
Maybe it crashes less on iPad2? If you've finished the main quest then here's a test: Spoiler Go talk to the Odd Merchant that's at the spawn point in the wild between the first city and the point where you go with all the skeletons to get to the end boss. Before he would just say gibberish, but he'll give you some cool stuff then die leaving behind his remains. So, talk to him, he dies, go to the spawn point and set it, then go over to his remains and touch screen tap em... at this point the game crashes for me. Nicely everything saves so no big deal but he is then back alive and you can repeat the crash procedure over and over Beyond that, I had the game crash on me several times near the end. Typically it would happen when leaving an area and going into another.. but no where near as predictable as the spoiler above. ........ Last night I made my way to the island in the bottom right. I haven't explored it yet, but it's cool to have more to do in the game and still so much to see.
This is a bug which occurs if you change map whilst having a status effect inflicted by a monster e.g. burn/poison/bleed It has been fixed in our latest patch which we sent to the publisher yesterday, so may take a while to finally arrive on appstore. Very sorry about this but fortunately the game saves on the map change right before it crashes In the meantime you can avoid it by waiting for your stutus effect to disappear before changing maps. I know this may not be ideal but that seems to be the only way until the new patch arrives, sorry!
I think my game is ruined. I'm level 18, in a dungeon. At one point I pulled a level next to a thone? to open a metal door, I went inside, got the loot and left the game there. Now I came back to it and I'm in the same place but the iron door is shut and the lever to open it is on the other side on the door. The room has no other exits. I'm trapped forever
