For melee combat, what helped me so far was a tip from the developer to turn off weapon animations in the game settings. Instead of the animation, it will have a pointer that shows the range of the weapon, direction and a marker for the latency, so that you know when it's actually going to strike the enemy. So far, so great!
1: No notification after clearing a dungeon 2: Some dungeons do have multiple levels 3: There are no maps of the dungeons that I have found so far and I have completely cleared at least three dungeons, so I don't think there are any. Some monster will re-spawn while you're wandering around the dungeon.
Hey, I play as the warrior, so whenever I find arrows I just sell them, but this one time I looked in a chest (possibly a barrel) and found these arrows called something like 'razor glade arrows' or something. It was in a stack of around 150 and sold for quite a bit so I'm guessing they are quite rare and powerful. The arrows that I know are plain, barbed, dark, fire, and 'razor glade'. But how come bows AND arrows have damage outputs? Do you add them together?
Tried playing this at the pool this afternoon. Even with brightness fully up and in the shade it was like trying to play castlevania cotm on the original GBA. Do-able, but hard. I'm looking forward to the gamma option that's being added. Anyway, realized that I needed a low level sword so I could level up to finally use a high level sword i found a while back. It would be nice if there was a more robust tutorial ... But it won't matter anymore since infigured things out on my own. Currently I'm on the early quest to find some dude between two towns. I'm getting owned by bears, but I'll get the mission complete and start making some real progress in the game.
Found all 7 of the treasures. Took them back to the ghost that wanted them. He attacked me! Killed him and he drops all the treasures again. He dropped a "colored key 1". Not sure what to do with it though... :/
Travel to Haeroth and Zara'Hakul, the two islands, to find the other keys! (I'd recommend Haeroth first)
Lol! Just found the devs little 'surprise' at the end of the crypt north-west of Felryn. If you want to find it by yourself, go ahead. this spoiler tells you how to get there. Spoiler In the last room with the weird skeleton-spider thing that poisons you and a chest of goodies, there is a secret passage marked with a crack on the wall. Go through there to access a special room! Remember not to spoil the surprise for others Devs- I'm not sure if it is meant for convenience or just laughs, but I thought it was pretty funny.
Ok. I've had enough of this maze near Spoiler maltyr castle ! I have tried to find anything but just keep coming across the carcasses of my enemies. Occasionally I would be killed by some hydra looking thing, so I would re-enter the maze and follow the carcasses (I had basically memorised the way, anyway- that's how many times I have gone around in circles). So- is there actually anything at the end? IS there an end? HAS THIS GAME JUST BEEN SCREWING ME OVER FOR THE PAST HOUR?!
This message is only aimed towards people who are pretty far into the game. Spoiler ok, I'm at the castle, but I can't get in. The grave next to it says I need a hand to open the door. So can someone please tell me where and how I can get this 'hand-key' please? Is it in the maze nearby?
Spoiler you need to find a general and talk to him enough for him to attack you. You end up with his hand after killing him. You'll know it's him because he is standing in front of a bunch of soldiers getting ready to attack the "gate" or something. His location is south of Chella and a bit west.
Would love some more tablet-tailored UI: * inventory items not needing to click on description to view effects and text (if it fits on 1 screen why the need to press i first??). Same goes for spells. * numeric values on bars (I want to know the values!!!) * Combination of inventory and equipment * Easier item stat comparison checking
By rhokk, the guy just keeps saying the same thing. He won't attack me. Do I have to wait a few days? Should I sleep in a bed a few times?
Man, I know this game is amazing offline- and it should be (strict-online games, tsk tsk), but maybe in the future you could implement a co-op feature so people could go dungeon crashing together. Getting a nice Runescape-esque vibe, even though it doesn't have as many skills- for some reason it just reminds me of Runescape. Maybe some more skills could be added, that aren't for combat, like crafting, or woodcutting. I dunno. It's late. Also, I think you devs missed a very important button I have to restart the app whenever I want to access the main menu lol. Would be nice if there was a main menu button in Options.
I'm making good progress now. I leveled my knight up past the point to where I could use the second magic spell of his. That has been a game changer. I welcome a pack of bears to attack now. Question: which attribute do I put points on to up my magic ability? I have a feeling where I'm headed now, I'll need those skills more than ever. I went back and finished everything north east of the first town. Found some cool secrets up there too. No spoilers.
Duivs, Check your quest log hints Also, yes there is an end to the maze with something in it (just watch out for the surprise right before the end!) nightc1, Strength is what helps the knight spells.
My biggest UI issue is the hotkey locations. The ones at the bottom of the screen are so small and tight to the edge that they're difficult to hit without taking my iPad out of its case. The two extending bars are bizarrely placed. Why have them streak all across the play area? Why not just a nice toggleable sidebar, maybe 3 or 4 boxes wide on the right side of the screen, something I could potentially leave open and still have a sizable play area on a tablet?
