Its pretty much the same thing, the games are decent enough, but mostly you're getting a deal on quantity, when you add them all up their worth more than a buck, they aren;t bad games if that's what you're asking but they aren't gonna blow you away either. If you didn't like the first one then I would think about it some more because I'm not sure how much or what you're expecting out of it.
Hmm... thanks for your opinions. I know a lot of the games in the first one just felt really cheap and like not much thought was put into them. In other words, it was just more quantity than quality.
yes, but they aren't bad games just have a more casual feel to them. Its not a bad deal though the Gamebox 2 has a 4.5/5 rating in the store so a lot of people like it enough and its hard to complain for a buck.
Kings Hero - back to $2.99 as of 12/27/10 (but looks cool) Xenome - generally positive reviews, I picked it up but haven't played it much. Knights of the Phantom Castle - highly recommended, it's a real time strategy game with a micro 4 unit team; big on strategy. Splinter Cell - some may disagree but I ended up deleting this one because it was hard to see things in the shadows on my ipod and the controls felt too automated (push one button and your character will grab someone by the neck and dispose of them; almost like pushing a button lead to a cinematic rather than interactive experience). Guardian Soul - I bought it but from reviews I understand it's lukewarm at best. Itarus - I hear good things about Itarus so picked it up also. So far the controls seem decent with intuitive placement of spell/item buttons so not too button mashy. Garters & Ghouls - says "new low price" and has been at $0.99 since 10/27/10 so there may not be a big hurry to get it while it's cheap. I'm interested too but holding off for now.
Any comments or recommendations on the following? Gatsby's Golf Kings Hero Mystery Agency- two thumbs down Xenome Voicemod High Caliber Hunting The Last King of Africa- great graphics, like so far (just started) Orions Knights of the Phantom Castle I Dig It Expeditions Split/Second Cause of Death- too much text, gets boring fast! MMA Floe Scrabble- fun but WOrds With Friends is better Snood- fun, same as the classic Splinter Cell A.D.D. The Amazing Race Mystery - Gallery Homicide-bad Soul Card Master Guardian Soul Itarus
It really is a personal choice. Maybe they should be put in categories to make it easier for people to find what they like. I love the adventure puzzle point and click type games ie. Jules Verne, grisly manor etc. Where as another may hate those type of games I thought Puzzle Agent was extremely agitating, slow and unable to hold my attention where as you highly recommend it
I downloaded Defence Hero from Nate Games and would not recommend it, the gameplay is similar to Cartoon Hero (characters side scroll automatically from one castle to the next and fight). It's not a very polished game and there are better alternatives. I'm trying to return it to appstore... but how?
I totally agree with this, I would not recommend Defence Hero either. I bought it a month ago because of some positive reviews, but after playing some I thought it was very unpolished and not fun to play.
Since I Dig It (without "Expeditions") http://itunes.apple.com/app/i-dig-it/id314864297?mt=8 is still "free for holidays" you should try it. If you like it, buy Expeditions maybe, seems to be basically the same. "I Dig It Expeditions takes the same popular formula of the original and improves upon it in nearly every way imaginable" - Touch Arcade Today I watched a guy playing I Dig It all the dayhe seems to be addicted. I started with it some minutes ago and it's really fun and well done graphics. Just care about enough fuel. Good tutorial.
I don't know why but I just can't seem to get into this game. I guess for a buck I might have to pick it up to see what all this fuss is about. Lots of great sales this holiday. Didn't expect to buy so much but lots of new goodies!
Slightly bummed i got this game at 2.99 before the itunes connect went back live thinking the game would go back up in price, oh well at least i got a good game slightly discounted
