      Let me get this straight, if i pay $100, i can become a developer w/ all the tools AND get OS 3.0 way ahead of time?

      Am I understanding this right?

      From what I understand, you will receive the Apple iPhone SDK (Mac only) and gain access to the 3.0 BETA.

      You can already become a developer and get all the tools. The SDK is free, the 100 bucks is only to have the ability to test it on your actual device and have your app hosted on the app store. Also, you dont get the 3.0 firmware i believe, only the 3.0 SDK. It would be a waste to pay the money now, learn to program first and then buy it.

      Thank you all for explaining that to me! I had dreams of coming up with a great app for a little while, but now i know it's probably not for me!
