Anyone know what the differences are? If any? And yes, I would bet it's IAP for $4.99. Rise of the Atlantis HD is one of the very best Match-3 games out there, and I'm a total Match-3 junkie. AirGear Well-Known Member Aug 7, 2010 328 0 16 #6 AirGear, May 25, 2011 Here is a quote from the developer (or the company representative) when he/she talked about The Rise of Atlantis HD: So "Call of Atlantis HD" is not the same game, but part of the "Atlantis Match-3" trilogy, and the last one in the series. In fact, the description in the first post did mention this, albeit not very direct. ------ SSquared Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 1,030 0 0 Software Developer Pacific Northwest #7 SSquared, May 25, 2011 Oh...oops. My earlier post I did not realize you said, "Rise". I thought you were wondering if this is the same as the iPhone version of the game. I can't totally remember what major differences there are between 'Call' and 'Rise'. Gypsycruiser Well-Known Member Mar 12, 2010 265 0 0 Travel Agent By the lake #8 Gypsycruiser, May 25, 2011 US release tonight? Love Playrix games too. I have them all on my Touch but none for my iPad, which I just got today. I am hoping to get COA for my iPad. This is great news. Looking forward to playing it on my iPad. DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #9 DelBoy2181, May 25, 2011 I just visited the NZ App Store and it looks like there are no IAPs. Take a look for yourself. It's probably free at first to generate interest before they whack a price on it...so get it as soon as it becomes available. We're still waiting for it to show up here on the UK App Store. Not sure why it's not showing up properly on iTunes or the App Store - must be some glitch as the reviews aren't working properly either. How much is the iap? tecwrtr Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2010 586 0 16 Senior Technical Writer Richmond, VA #12 tecwrtr, May 26, 2011 If you buy the IAP, isn't it the full version? Is there something better about the full version? Sorry for the possible noob question, but I've just been wondering... Inked Well-Known Member Nov 30, 2008 170 0 0 #13 Inked, May 26, 2011 Yes, it's the same. I personally prefer the full version over iap to future proof a bit. Many apps I've purchased have been abandoned if they had been bought using iap I wouldn't be able to transfer them to other devices. That's one reason. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #14 slewis7, May 26, 2011 $6.99 tangerine Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2008 735 0 0 Houston, TX #15 tangerine, May 26, 2011 I just played Call of Atlantis HD as far as I could before it required a purchase - $6.99. I already have the iPhone version and, while the HD version has some game additions and really gorgeous graphics, I am going to stick with the iPhone version. You still get the addicting match-3 gameplay and the main thing I noticed was that the HD version included a harder and more complicated hidden object game. If the price comes down, I might consider the HD version but I have to say that I don't like the fact that the download page in iTunes does not show that it is an IAP. Hopefully, they will correct that soon. DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #16 DelBoy2181, May 26, 2011 Same here. It's rather odd that no IAP is showing on the iTunes page Inked Well-Known Member Nov 30, 2008 170 0 0 #17 Inked, May 26, 2011 $4.99 now DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #18 DelBoy2181, May 27, 2011 Is it worth getting though? I've already got the first installment, Rise Of Atlantis, and have been playing a couple of the new levels on this one but haven't seen anything so far to convince me to part with my money. And why isn't there a full version along side this in app nonsense? I bought Royal Envoy last week and that had a full version. If this was £1.79 I'd definitely buy it but @ £2.99 I'm not so sure. They seriously need to do a proper sale. If Call Of Atlantis and 4 Elements were £1.79 I'd buy them straightaway. I hope one of their developers is reading this. tangerine Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2008 735 0 0 Houston, TX #19 tangerine, May 27, 2011 I'm hoping they might have a Memorial Day Sale on both of these games. That would be great. BTW, check PopCap games daily for some really nice sale prices. Right now, Escape Rosecliff Island HD is only $0.99. I'd really like to get Call of Atlantis HD but I'm going to wait a few days.
