I really like the art style, everything is nice and polished and there is a good amount of variation from the backgrounds to the enemies. Controls work okay but I would like to see more options as the only control option available is relative touch and it is not as tight as it needs to be. Sounds are good but when you die there is a big explosion sound but you just disappear which creates a bit of disconnect. If there is an explosion sound, maybe you could give some animation to the players death? I love that there are bosses in this as it really adds another element to a classic arcade game. How about adding a two player alternating mode and local high scores with name entry? I think it is worth a buy but I hope some improvements are made. secondtime Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2009 1,713 0 36 #7 secondtime, Apr 23, 2011 Trying to write a review, but keep getting "you don't own this" every time (happening on multiple apps). Anyway, fun game, nice graphics, and like how the background and bosses change. Agree with BazookaTime that the touch isn't quite crisp enough sometimes, especially on the hard level where you need to move a little quicker or more carefully. Not bad, but a little tightening could be good. Also on the hard level it seems like the shots sometimes come in spurts. Perhaps designed that way on purpose, as it gives an extra dimension of difficulty when trying to shoot at things. OpenFeint is integrated, but adding Game Center could be good - perhaps multiplayer/head-to-head at some point. Overall, an enjoyable classic shooting game, one that the whole family should enjoy playing. preussie Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Dec 8, 2009 76 0 6 Flensburg, Germany http://miscstuff.de #8 preussie, Apr 23, 2011 Thank you for your comments Controls: The little 'player' bug accelerates into the direction where you touch the screen to make the movement smooth. Maybe the acceleration a bit too slow - I will work on that. I think tilt control or a d-pad control is no option for this game. I also thought about a '2 player pass along mode' - it might be fun . GC integration is on my list. preussie marlenedegrood Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2008 562 0 0 http://www.bittleboxart.etsy.com #9 marlenedegrood, Apr 30, 2011 Also have tried posting a positive review for this great retro game but keep getting the "in order to write a customer review for this item you must have purchased or downloaded first". I've used redeem codes many times and I've always been able to leave a review so I'm not sure why this is happening .... it's a shame because I really wanted to leave this an excellent 5 star review. This reminds me a lot of Apeiron which is a Mac game that I really love. Kind of a cross between Apeiron and Centipede making it even better that each one individually. You did a great job on the graphics and making this a really fun to play game. Thank you for the code and I'm sorry that Apple won't let me leave you a review. If this changes, please let me know and I'll post.
