How can it be single player and include enemies if there's no AI? VeganTnT Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 19, 2008 4,491 3 0 Freelance Entertainment Analyst Orlando, FL #3 VeganTnT, Mar 19, 2011 I didn't find many details on the game but it's a puzzle variation of Neuroshima Hex. Each puzzle starts with a scenario to explain whats going on and pieces already laid out. Your goal is to solve each puzzle by doing damage to the enemy HQ(s) like usual but I have no idea about how many rounds you are given, etc. I don't know anyone that got a prerelease version so that's as much as I know BigDaddysCreations Well-Known Member Jul 8, 2010 377 0 0 Software Developer Poland http://www.neuroshimahex.com #4 BigDaddysCreations, Mar 19, 2011 I'll be more than happy to explain. It's a a set of 100 scenarios where you have to take one turn, position your tiles and then the battle starts! Scenarios are very tricky, so it may sound easy, but sometimes it takes a lot of planing to solve. And because one image is worth thousand words here's a video trailer showing how this game looks like: @VeganTnT, could you add this video to post? currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #5 currymutton, Mar 19, 2011 Just like a chess puzzle. Very well, sold. Werechihuahua Well-Known Member May 26, 2010 137 0 16 Eternal labors Pensacola, FL #6 Werechihuahua, Mar 19, 2011 Game Impressions If you like Neuroshima Hex even a little, and it is outstanding so you should, this is for you. It is a series of puzzle scenarios that take mere seconds to play through each... if you grok the answers. They get harder and eventually you will sweat some neurons working them out. The chess puzzle analogy is very apt. Just like and game it is based on, great art, graphics, sound and execution. Plays great on iphone, ipod and ipad. Runs great on older devices. I couldn't be more pleased. I am a little confused by making this a stand-alone app and not an expansion to NH. But I guess new apps get press attention and updates to older ones not so much. ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #7 ojtitus, Mar 19, 2011 Awesome! Got it the second it was out, I'm really glad about this release. I love the puzzle aspects of this one, the graphical style (with a new background for the map... thanks!), the fact that they took the time to write short introductions for the levels... but more than ever, as I'm still pretty new to Neuroshima Hex, I can already see how this is going to improve my gameplay and my tactics during real Neuroshima Hex! matches afterward. Really excited about that! Highly recommended. Only thing that I would've loved to see with this release is a leaderboard of some sort on Game Center... I'd like to know how I'm doing compared to other players. Basically, the number of Hex-Aches solved. While the achievements are great, it only allows you to compare how you're doing between you and your friends... so it's quite different for me. The only thing that could be worse is Nerushima Hex Multiplayer... which is supposedly on it's way. Anyhow, Instabuy, downloading now. MidianGTX Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2009 3,738 10 38 #12 MidianGTX, Mar 19, 2011 Thanks guys, I think I understand it now So does this game come with a tutorial or would it be difficult for people who aren't already familiar with the mechanics? It seems I might be better off buying the main game and starting from the beginning. NotYou Well-Known Member Sep 22, 2008 2,654 20 0 Colorado #13 NotYou, Mar 19, 2011 Actually, the tutorial in this is much, much better than the main game. It's kind of annoying if you're already used to the game. It'd probably be easier to get this first and learn the rules that way. thevagrant Well-Known Member Jun 8, 2009 631 0 0 #14 thevagrant, Mar 19, 2011 Yes, I played the first five missions and it actually works as a much better tutorial than what it's in the "real game". I suspect it can be a very useful way to learn the game, the different units and their power in order to have an easier start in the game. We tried to make this game to be an easy start for all players who would like to start playing NS Hex, but don't know the rules. I can assure you that after first 10 scenarios you'll know the basics and after next 10 you'll know everything MidianGTX Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2009 3,738 10 38 #16 MidianGTX, Mar 19, 2011 Sounds convincing enough, I just bought it TheDukester Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2010 823 0 0 Wherever Ascension wants me #17 TheDukester, Mar 19, 2011 Downloading now! It would obviously be a shame if I didn't check out the remaining 90 levels and so I did.
